The administrative detainee, Omar Sadeq Kumayl (Al-Sanajal) (50 years old), from the town of Qabatiya/Jenin, suspended his open hunger strike, which lasted for 20 days in protest of his administrative detention, following promises to set a ceiling for his administrative detention.
The Prisoner Club stated that Kumayl has been detained since last March, and an administrative detention order was issued against him for a period of 6 months.
During this year, the detainee Kumayl had gone on a hunger strike for several days after the martyrdom of Sheikh Khader Adnan last May, in rejection of the crime committed against him, and in protest against the crime of medical negligence (slow killing).
It is worth noting that the detainee Kumayl is the father of 17-year-old martyr Mahmoud Kumayl (Al-Sanajal), who was martyred in Al-Quds in December 2020 after carrying out a heroic shooting operation which wounded a zionist police officer in Al-Quds.
