🟩🟥 In a joint press statement, the Al- Sa’iqa Forces and the Popular Front - General Command:
—
We will not participate in the General Secretaries meeting if the Palestinian Authority does not respond to our initiative on the release of political prisoners and fighters; this position comes in line with our convictions that the issue of detainees is a national issue and a Palestinian public opinion issue. It requires a position that is consistent with the Palestinian street, as it is the incubator of the resistance and its source of strength.

Highlights from the "Approved for Publication" documentary broadcasted by Palestine Today, a narration of the details of the victory of Saraya Al-Quds - Jenin Brigade in the Fury of Jenin battle. This is the fifth installment of publications released by the Jenin Brigade showcasing the resistance's victory:
—
The documentary begins by showing a Jenin Brigade surveillance room that constantly monitors the movements of the occupation forces, anticipating any potential invasions. A fighter explained that they have developed new tools to monitor the IOF camps and settlements surrounding Jenin. This allowed the resistance to receive information indicating that there might be an invasion or other aggressions by the occupation.
Through zionist media, the fighters anticipated that the occupation was going to use their air force. This is what happened after the ambush the resistance carried out in Al-Hadaf area in which more than five IOF vehicles were disabled in the Fury of the Free battle two weeks before the Fury of Jenin; it was the start of the IOF's aerial bombardment. The Brigade realized that a larger battle was imminent and started preparing to confront it, drawing from previous experiences.
One fighter said: "Every time the occupation advanced one step we preceded them with two. We do not taste comfort as long as this occupier exists. When the enemy started using planes, we moved from working above the ground to working underground in this confrontation."
As such, an extensive underground tunnel network played a prominent role, providing the fighters with safety. The tunnels were the reason of the success of several ambushes, especially in the Al-Damj neighborhood.
The starting point in the Fury of Jenin was depriving the occupation from opportunities to target. The Jenin Brigade thwarted the IOF's first major aggression attempt. A fighter explained: "The occupation attempted to evade our surveillance so it started air striking us about 15 minutes before the ground invasion. The occupation succeeded in striking one point but failed to target the brothers inside. Only one fighter ascended to martyrdom. The enemy revealed that it had 16 targets at the start, and that 30 seconds after striking the first target, the 15 other targets vanished from the enemy's Air Forces sight."
The Jenin Brigade successfully downed six drones in the course of the battle. One of them was the "Spike Firefly," a suicide drone carrying explosives used for the first time in Jenin.
The Brigade benefited from the recorded footage found on the drones. This footage tracked the events of the battle, identifying the soldiers' locations and resistance fighters engaging in combat with a special force from a very close distance in one of the scenes. The resistance fighters understood from the aerial photography the angles of the aircraft's work, the normal and thermal imaging, and the resistance's field plans were modified based on the new information.
"The Jenin camp means for us the first popular cradle for the resistance. The people of the camp, in its men, women, and children have all proved that they were to the extent of the responsibility in embracing the resistance. The camp was—throughout its history—a warm embrace for all the fighters, a great popular cradle."

- Abbas stressed his commitment to the option of peaceful resistance and that there is no weapon other than the weapon of the Authority.
- Haniyeh told Abbas that Hamas is targeting the occupation and that it is not interested in attacking or overthrowing the Authority.
- Mahmoud Abbas rejected Haniyeh's request for the urgent release of the political detainees in PA prisons and it's linking to the dialogue at the meeting of the General Secretaries in Cairo.

⚫️ An interview with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Commander Ziyad al-Nakhala, on Al-Ghad TV, was conducted to talk about the latest developments in the Palestinian arena. Translated highlights below (1/2):
—
1. Political arrests:
Political arrests are still going on, and the Authority are trying to tell the "israelis" that they are in charge.
Political detention serves the enemy and Palestinian public opinion is against [such] arrests.
There may some initiatives and compromises to remove a number of prisoners before the meeting.
The head of Palestinian intelligence, Majed Faraj, contacted me, and I do not feel that he has anything new [to say].
I told Majed Faraj that we want the release of all detainees, including the Islamic Jihad detainees.
The call with the head of Palestinian Intelligence was a result of communication with the Egyptians to find a formula for a solution.
The factions are in solidarity with us regarding political detention.
2. SG meeting in Cairo:
I expect that some factions will not go to the General Secretaries meeting in Cairo.
The Palestinian meeting in Cairo was not prepared for, and no action agenda was set for it.
The meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas, Ismail Haniyeh and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is separate from the meeting in Cairo.
3. Palestinian Authority:
The current in power believes in negotiations, and there is another current that is absolutely against the Oslo Accords. There is no solution with the enemy. There is a pragmatic current that is [at times] understandable and sometimes incomprehensible.
The Authority said that the Oslo Accords are behind them, but these are words gone with the wind.
The Palestinian people are no longer deceived by propaganda about the political project in the presence of the occupation.
The [Palestinian] Authority practices the same behavior practiced by the occupying forces, and there is a program to end the will of the Palestinian people.
It is not true that Abu Mazen needs permission from the Islamic Jihad Movement to visit Jenin; we were concerned with making his visit a success.
