The insistence of the Authority's Security Forces on incitement and sinful political arrests, ignoring all national, popular, and factional calls to stop them, and the continued incitement against the resistance and its popular base, is a cowardly and condemned act that threatens civil and social peace and opens the door to a large discord that our people do not need. We also consider these repressive policies pursued by some influential leaders in the Palestinian Authority an attempt to create noise and disturbance around the kind Egyptian call for a meeting of the Secretaries-General of the Palestinian factions and to sabotage it.

Eight Palestinian factions, including Hamas, PIJ, PFLP, and others, signed a joint statement today calling on the traitorous Palestinian Authority and its forces to immediately halt its policy of political arrests, especially those targeting leaders, cadres, and freed prisoners in the West Bank.
