Clashes over the city lasted 24+ hours until the DR Congo military, FARDC, eventually withdrew.

🇹🇷 - There is a great deal of false propaganda originating from both Iran and Israel regarding the protests in Turkey.

Erdogan did not flee the country, or to a safe spot. Entire districts, such as Gaziantep, did not fall into the hands of protestors. Government institutions, such as the Defense Department or Ministry of Justice, were not stormed or captured by "rebels". There is also a lot of old / videos from other regions being spread by pro-Israeli and pro-Iranian channels.

There were large scale protests, the intensity of which have greatly reduced this morning. Turkey's security apparatus is not that of Bashar's Syria, the situation in the country remains calm.

🇹🇷⚡- Mansur Yavas, Mayor of Ankara, said he will still vote for Ekrem Imamoglu at the CHP's primary elections, despite Turkish authorities barring Imamoglu from running.

CHP's primary elections will take place in 3 days to determine the party's Presidential candidate for the 2028 elections.

#NEWS | UAE lobbying Trump administration to reject Arab League Gaza plan, officials say

The Emirati pressure poses a dilemma for Cairo because both the UAE and Egypt broadly back the same Palestinian powerbroker for Gaza, Mohammed Dahlan, an exiled former Fatah official.

“The UAE could not be the lone state opposing the Arab League plan when it was agreed, but they are trashing it with the Trump administration,” the US official told MEE.

The UAE is flexing its unparalleled access to the White House to criticise the plan as unworkable and accuse Cairo of giving too much influence to Hamas.
