Okay, as I once promised, let's talk about this decision

I apologize for possible chaotic, but this is a very large topic

Let's start with what many care about - Olympics. FIG approval does not mean that R&B (Russia and Belarus) will be represented at Olympiad. Because it depends on IOC.
BUT this means that they will be able to get an Olympic pass at European Championships in 2024. There will be 1 pass for groups and individuals, so there will be fierce fighting especially among individuals. However, this is also not a fact.

Decision of FIG is only its decision. Countries may not issue visas for R&B, so some tournaments are still closed to them. I honestly don't know how things are in Hungary, not my cup of tea πŸ˜….

Theoretically, R&B can get a special Olympic pass, but I wouldn't think about it, because now they have a chance to get it competitively.

It seems that this is all with external factors, so let's move on to internal ones.
And let's start, all of a sudden, with Ukraine.

Аact is that according to their internal laws, Ukrainian athletes cannot take part in tournaments where R&B is represented (Ukraine🀝Russia).
Let's leave morale condition of athletes and judges here, I'm just for that everyone should have a choice.

Russia also has problems. At the moment, a law is being prepared that will prohibit athletes from signing papers condemning SWO (not exact wording, just essence, they still do not know what to do). What will they do with athletes who have already signed something like that? Who knows Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―.
In Belarus, I have not heard of something like this.

There is also a possibility that Russian Gymnastics Federation or Viner will refuse to participate in competitions themselves (but it is unlikely that they all want medals so they do not say to media). Again, do not refer to Belarus, they do not hide fact that international arena is important for them.

Now let's talk about neutrality, R&B positions now and who to expect.

Not Averina twins. Who does not know, they participated in a political concert in honor of annexation of Crimea to Russia and were dressed with Z on chest. In addition, one or both (I forgot) belong to military club.
I think they will soon finish their careers, especially Dina. And yes, they have lost their shape at all.

For seniors in Russia, 3 are now actively promoting: Lala Kramarenko, Anna Popova, Maria Borisova.
Briefly, Lala is now recovering from a back injury and has not competed for a long time. I think by the beginning of 2024 she will recover. It claims to be a leader in world, but I'm not sure that it will always be in the first place. This combines factor that in Russia programs for FIG rules are not very good (I can talk endlessly about missing beats and how artistry works, yeah), and fact that some judges may underestimate scores.

Anna Popova is just a good gymnast Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―.

Maria Borisova is a good gymnast, but there are problems with stability.

Now Belarus. Their leader, Alina Harnasko, is a member of the military club (Π”ΠΈΠ½Π°ΠΌΠΎ). Even if she wants to change him, it can cause problems.

I don't know which club Anastasiia Salos is in. I think all remember her even without me. Now recovering from injury.

Yelyzaveta Zorkina (suddenly, born in Ukraine). In many ways, Anastasiia Salos now bypasses, very interesting gymnast, I also don’t know club.

What matters in all this is what circs FIG sets for neutrality. I think there will definitely be papers that athlete undertakes not to support war publicly (they had an incident with Kuliak, who went to award ceremony with Z, that's enough for them). And then it will become a problem for Russia when that law is passed.

Also, Ukrainian side will itself carefully check (by means of media) whether this or that athlete was seen in connection with military and war.
They will also try to push FIG to change decision. But I don't think it will work, because if such organizations have accepted something, they will insist
