After two months of forced rest at the most difficult moment of her career, she is ready for European Championship.
«On a psychological level, we have come out of a very difficult period that began in November, I mean investigations, general atmosphere.
I had a strong flu, maybe because of it, myocarditis began, which I was diagnosed with in mid-January.
For two months my heartbeat did not exceed 100 beats per minute.
Now I could tell my rhythm without even measuring, I get 180-185 beats per minute, about 90-92% of anaerobic threshold.
But it was difficult to return to this level, at first I had shortness of breath...
After all this story, we are more determined to EC. Now we train for ourselves.
In addition, we must pay back for EC2022, which robbed us.
After week's vacation, we will immediately get to work to prepare for World Championships, qualifications for OG»

DTB remembers path of Darja Varfolomeev on eve of European Championship
Darja was born in Barnaul, Siberia and followed path of her mother:
«I had no choice. I can't imagine life without RG».
Considering big rivalry in Russia, her family decides to send Dasha to Germany at the age of 12 through her German citizenship by grandfather. Mom could only accompany her for a month.
It was not easy, but in center of rg national team everyone helped newcomer. She quickly learned the language and practiced 6 hours a day while going to school.
Now Darja feels ready for EC. Together with coach - Yulia Raskina - they added difficulty to programs, made a new ribbon and hoop.
The pressure is rising. After all victories of Germany, «other countries are now looking at us more again».
At the same time, she and Margarita Kolosov became role models for German gymnasts.
