Agents around the world are reporting hacking pieces of media pointing to a series of 6 YouTube messages by Lightman.

As stated in the broadcast last week, the operative "Helvetica" is attempting to harvest artifacts. The NIA requests agents around the world intercept these artifacts, to stop Helvetica's plans. A total 13331 artifacts are required to prevent the plans from moving further.

Agents may notice new options in Ingress Prime settings for the Help Center. Clicking "Go" will take you to FAQs. "Report Problem" will take you to a list of known issues and bugs. In either case, clicking the message icon on the top right will open a conversation with Remy, Niantic's Help Chat Bot. Some agents even reported getting push notifications as a response to emailed support tickets. These notifications take you to the in-app chat bot feature. This feature has been teased a few times. Now we see it in action!

The new Avenir Shard event will happen between Sep 17 and Sep 30. Ground rules are similar to last time, 13 shards appear in wave around the world with 4 targets.
But this time the whole event is x-faction. Target Portals are not faction specific, and with different shards captured, agents will be rewarded or punished during Oct 3 to Oct 10.

7 - 9 shards: All agents, like, really all active during Sep 17 - 30 will receive Avenir medal.
10 - 12 shards additional: ADA/Jarvis hack rate 1.5x; Portal decay rate decrease by 50%.
All shards additional: Aegis hack rate 1.5x;Portal decay rate decrease by 75%.

And if less than 7 shards, the portal virus is back:
1 - 6 shards: Portal decay rate 1.5x.
0 shards captured: Portal decay rate 1.75x.

Niantic has changed anomaly registration for the Umbra Anomalies. All agents onsite must now purchase a ticket through the in-app ticketing process. ($13+fees and taxes). They must complete the required actions onsite as well. There is no swag included in the price of admission (as of this post).

Offsite medals also require a purchased ticket ($13+fees and taxes) and complete the required actions (currently only by recharging or submitting a decoded passcode, as of this post) Other agents may participate, but may not receive the anomaly medal.

Anomaly Ticketing Update: Intel operators will be required to purchase an offsite ticket in advance. Niantic will work with POCs to verify Intel operators and award medals to those who are eligible.

Niantic has also revealed the design of ADA, OLW and Misty characters in Nemesis sequence. (Yes, the first one is ADA.)

Niantic has provided an update on Umbra Anomaly paid ticket:

🔹 A new onsite free ticket only for have attendees’ actions count for scoring and no medals.
🔹 Remote tickets will only work for their respective cities.
🔹 For agents purchasing an Onsite ticket before Oct 9 5PM UTC, they will have two paid onsite ticket codes for free, which they can give to other agents.
🔹 Niantic will add more payment options for paying ticket.
🔹 Niantic has reiterated the sustainable Anomaly events, even the game, will require a paid event model and they need community's help in this.
