🇺🇸 Agents in Los Angeles race to missions inspired by The Running Man Movie 🎬

🗺 As part of a collaboration between Niantic Spatial and Paramount Pictures to promote The Running Man, an event was held on Saturday, November 15 where Ingress Agents were challenged to complete a 12-mission banner that would take them through the Downtown Los Angeles area!

💪 The first mission took place in Little Tokyo/Arts District, and the final mission was located at Grand Park near the Civic Center. Despite the rainy weather, Agents from both factions showed up and joined the Ingress team to bravely embark on and complete the journey!

Agent BobCrochets recalls the experience:

It was good to see everyone and navigating the rain definitely made it an even more exciting day. Brian gave us swag and led us through the missions, explaining that the banner led us through several of the filming locations from the movie. We incidentally ended up having to navigate around an active filming location for a TV show which was interesting. At the end, we all warmed up with some well-deserved coffee. I wish I’d taken more pictures, but it’s always worth the time to go out and be with other Ingress players.

🇨🇭 Geneva, Switzerland was witness to a crisp and wintry +Beta Buildup Battle today! Agents gathered for a laid-back afternoon and to participate in the +Beta Buildup Battles.

🥇 The reported turnout of 10 Resistance and 3 Enlightened agents meant that RES scored plenty of series points, and both factions were able to get +Beta tokens too. Despite the faction imbalance, the focus remained strictly on fun rather than fierce competition.

🇮🇹 Italian RES scoop +Beta tokens in Rimini!

🔑 In Rimini, Italy, on Sunday, November 23rd, RES agents from across Italy gathered for a day dedicated to combat and camaraderie.

🍝 Fourteen RES met in the morning to initiate battle beacons, grab +Beta tokens and gain points for RES. The gameplay was punctuated by a "truly excellent" lunch in the city center - because fueling the agents is just as important as recharging the portals - before they continued deploying battle beacons well into the afternoon.

💙Operation Blue Forever 2.0 🇮🇳 🇳🇵

⚡️Operation Blue Forever 2.0 is a sustained international operation by Resistance India and Resistance Nepal.

💪This operation captured a lot of MU and the fields have been active for over a year. Some of these layers were taken down by ENL but then they were refielded. The Resistance is truly dominant in this region and have high MU fields locked down for long periods of time contributing consistently to the global score.

🗓 Timeline
Here is a detailed timeline of the events related to this operation.

📌 2024
• 44 layers of fields were first created on 2nd November.
• One portal (largest field) was reported and removed by ENL shortly after.

📌 2025
• Half of the layers were destroyed on May 25th.
• 20 layers lasted a full year.
• 47 layers were added on 31st October to celebrate the completion of 1 year.
• 5 layers were taken down by the Enlightened.

💰 Niantic has introduced C.A.R.G.O., the new Cortex Augmenting Resource Grid Overlay (Thats a mouthful!) arriving with Scanner v3.1.

⬆️This upgrade gives agents 100 extra inventory slots for 30 days and costs 3,500 CMU per boost.

⏳Each C.A.R.G.O. runs on its own independent timer, and agents can hold up to five at once, perfect for stocking up ahead of ops, anomalies, or travel.

When a boost expires, no items are lost; agents simply need to bring their inventory back under the standard limit before collecting anything new.

🤹‍♂️ C.A.R.G.O. is designed to make resource management smoother and more flexible, making it easier to hold onto what you need without constantly juggling items.
