The games of life are over,
death came without warning.
Souls passed from white into black,
merging with falsehood in serenity.

And the whole world sank into darkness,
as though it had never been.
Life’s sorrow will end, as in the Empire,
the word left unspoken.

Under the spell of dark enchantment,
what centuries had built was destroyed.
With one step into the abyss, swept into gloom,
the heart stopped forever.

Life came to an end upon our earth;
darkness eclipsed the light and hope.
Even the last dead soul will be forgotten,
its ashes carried off once more by the wind of freedom.
