Of all the monuments built in Karabakh in the 16-19 centuries, there are only nine domed churches, five of which are located in the city of Shushi. Back in 1844, Hovhannes Eramishyants and Abraham Eramishyants from Shushi began construction of the bell tower of the Gazanchetsots church. The three-tiered bell tower with images of angels, which has survived to this day, was built for a decade and a half and was completed in 1858. The idea of ​​building a new church again became relevant in 1867. In 1870, the project of the church was approved - it was built in 16 years.

Ghazanchetsots Amenaprkich Church is a large architectural monument. whose facade is covered with local milky-colored fine limestone. The glorious dome is based on four pillars. The exterior is luxurious, everything is decorated with ornaments, especially the arches of doors and windows.

At the top of the south door of the temple is the following building protocol.
