‼️Azerbaijan is raising the issue of transferring the Shushi-Red Bazar (Karmir Shuka) road under its control, which is now controlled by Russian peacekeepers and the Artsakh military. Control over the road would greatly facilitate Azerbaijan's access to Shushi.

Baku also raises the issue of transferring to it a number of villages in the Gazakh region of Karabakh (obviously, it’s about the villages of the Tavush region of Armenia, not Artsakh).

Ghazanchetsots Church of the Holy Christ the Savior

Of all the monuments built in Karabakh in the 16-19 centuries, there are only nine domed churches, five of which are located in the city of Shushi. One of them, Ghazanchetsots Church of Holy Christ the All-Savior. The others are Kanach Zham / Green Church /, Aguletsots, Megretsots, and Kusanats Monastery. The first church buildings in Shushi were made of wood. Ghazanchetsots Church of St. Christ the All-Savior, which is considered the pride of Shushi. The place of the stone building of the temple instead of the wooden one remains unknown. But it is known that in 1847 the stone church was in disrepair. Based on scant information, we conclude that it was a three-nave domed church. In 1847, Metropolitan Baghdasar began a correspondence with the Echmiadzin Synod in order to obtain permission to restore the church. In the course of four years of correspondence, the idea was born to build a new church on the site of the former church. Back in 1844, Hovhannes Eramishyants and Abraham Eramishyants from Shushi began construction of the bell tower of the Gazanchetsots church. The three-tiered bell tower with images of angels, which has survived to this day, was built for a decade and a half and was completed in 1858. The idea of building a new church again became relevant in 1867. In 1870, the project of the church was approved - it was built in 16 years.

Ghazanchetsots Amenaprkich Church is a large architectural monument. whose facade is covered with local milky-colored fine limestone. The glorious dome is based on four pillars. The exterior is luxurious, everything is decorated with ornaments, especially the arches of doors and windows.

At the top of the south door of the temple is the following building protocol. By the grace of the Almighty, the majestic Holy Temple was built in the city of Shushi, the Church of Holy Christ the All-Savior built by the pious people, the construction of which began in 1868, the reign of the pious emperor, the great emperor of all Russia Alexander II and the patriarchy of George D., ended in .... September 20, 1888
The multifaceted apses, over 34.7 meters long, about 23 meters wide and 35 meters high, are rectangular in shape and protrude on the four facades of this monument, which gives it a cross-domed composition.
In the very center of the city, it is much higher than all buildings; against the background of the surrounding green hills, it rises not only over the plateau, but also over the vast valley of Karkar. The planning and overall design of the Ghazanchetsots Church of St. Christ the All-Savior echoes the Etchmiadzin Cathedral.

The names of the master and the architect are known from the inscription in the lower part of the facade of the stage: “I have presented a holy image in memory of the builder of the temple - Avetis Eramishenets 18, in 1886 and the Architect - Simeon Ter Hakobyan.”

The bell tower inscription is located on the eastern facade, engraved in 9 lines in a stone frame. “This bell tower was built in memory of the late Gabriel Hovsepyan Batireants, the late Gazanchetsi Mkhti Mkrtich Margaryan Khandamirants of her husband Balasan, the sons of Harupi, Stepan, Ghazanchets, in general, all strong people see in the glory of their souls the salvation of all the living, who died for the life of relatives, 1858 "
The Ghazanchetsots Church rises not only over the plateau, but also over the vast Karkar valley.

‼️On May 7, Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan sent letters to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andjei Kaspshik in response to the threat of Artsakh's water security.

It is noted that as a result of the signing on November 9, 2020 of a tripartite agreement on the cessation of hostilities, the Karvachar region, which is the main source of water resources of Artsakh, came under the control of Azerbaijan.
"At present, about 98% of the water resources used in the Republic of Artsakh originate in Karvachar. Here are also the sources of the Arpa and Vorotan rivers flowing into Lake Sevan, which contains 80% of Armenia's water resources. Lake Sevan befell without these rivers would be an ecological disaster, "- noted in the letters.
The letters also call on the OSCE to create an international monitoring mechanism in the area where the above-mentioned rivers originate. Otherwise, one of the fundamental rights of the people of Artsakh - the right to water will again be under threat.

Indian citizens in Armenia who spoke on the condition of anonymity and the Embassy of India in Yerevan told indianexpress.com that the vandalism has been widely condemned in local news reports as well as by other Armenians on social media, with “fringe elements” having been blamed for creating nuisance and needless provocation between two friendly nations.

Thank you to Indian Express for your article, which clearly shows that this provocation has nothing to do with Indian-Armenian relations! India has always been and always will be a reliable friend for Armenians!
