MFA of the Republic of Artsakh
Karabakh movement was a fight for the sake of historical justice, for the sake of the national identity and dignity. In response to the peaceful and legitimate expression of the rights of the Armenian of Artsakh Azerbaijan tried to frighten us by the use of force. However, the Armenians of Artsakh could unite and protect their rights to freely live on the territory of its historical Motherland and established an independent state – the Republic of Artsakh. Despite the disasters, Artsakh is alive.
Long live free and independent Artsakh!

ECHR Declared Inadmissible The Complaint of An Azerbaijani Citizen Against Armenia
On 18 February 2021 the European Court of Human Rights delivered the decision of Samadov v. Armenia (application no. 36606/08).
The applicant was allegedly forced to flee from his home and property in Kalbajar (a district surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh) in 1993.
The present application had been introduced in 2008 more than six years after Armenia’s ratification of the Convention and its entry into force in 2002 and, at the time of introduction, more than fifteen years since the applicant’s forced displacement from his alleged property and home. His inability to return to his former domicile or to have any other access to or compensation for his property and home had thus remained unchanged for a considerable period of time, during which there had been no domestic petitions made or proceedings conducted and no political solution in sight. There had been no property claims mechanisms or other procedures in either Armenia or Azerbaijan whose conclusion the applicant and other potential claimants had to wait for before applying to the court. Moreover, there had been no other indication that the applicant had been unable to introduce his application with a shorter delay: more than a thousand similar applications had been lodged with the Court in the years 2004-7. Even with due regard had to the applicant’s personal status as a displaced person, the period of six years had to be considered excessive.
Thus, the Court has declared the application inadmissible.

Pashinyan congratulates the Armenian people on the 33rd anniversary of the Artsakh Movement
"33 years ago, thanks to the brave Artsakh Armenians, the Armenian people were reborn. Today, 33 years later, we need to reborn again. If the revival of those days led us to restore the right to a free life, the revival of these days should lead us to the creation of a strong, competitive state of the 21st century, keeping up with the times.
Our pain is deep, our wounds are incurable. However, the memory of our holy martyrs demands that we do everything possible to build our future, to ensure the revival of Artsakh.
The death of our martyrs will not be in vain if we work with full dedication in the name of a strong Homeland, in the name of our children, in the name of our future achievements.
The spirit of our people is unbreakable. The spirit of Artsakh is even more unshakable. His desire to live and create is unshakeable. I am convinced that, like many nations that have faced serious problems throughout their history, the Armenian people will soon heal the wounds of the past war and take even more decisive and firm steps into the future”.
