#HeartCheckTuesday: When God Is Silent, So Should You

The tongue was never designed for careless speech; it was created for a higher purpose: to echo the voice of God. Yet today, how easily we forget. We speak out of impulse, not out of the Spirit. We rush to comment, to weigh in, to sound wise, even when heaven is silent.

The Bible is clear: a lying tongue is an abomination to the Lord. But lying isn’t just about telling blatant falsehoods. It is speaking outside of God's witness. It is voicing thoughts that God did not authorise.

Even the Holy Spirit, perfect, flawless, divine, does not speak from His own initiative. He only says what He hears from the Father. If the Holy Spirit Himself speaks only by echo, who then are we to fabricate our own words?

Dear HeartChecker, your mouth was not given to explain everything; it was given to declare only what God has said. Especially for those called to the pulpit, to the sacred place of influence; if heaven has not spoken, you have no license to speak. Silence, sometimes, is a higher form of worship. Restraint is obedience in itself.

Some lives today would be flourishing if only they had spoken less. Some destinies would have remained intact if they had not tried to fill the silence with human opinions. Be careful with trends. Be cautious with "hot takes." God did not call you to be trendy; He called you to be true.

You are not a broadcaster of your own ideas: you are a mirror, reflecting His heart. And when the mirror reflects nothing, it simply waits in stillness for His next move. If He hasn’t spoken, remain silent. There is no shame in waiting on God. But there is great danger in moving ahead of Him.

“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, *who calls herself a prophet*....”
Revelation 2:20A NIV

A casual observation of the landscape of the body of Christ will see a multiplication of titles among men, especially *prophets* and the much coveted “*apostle* but sadly like the church in Sardis which had a name among men that they were alive but dead before Heaven, Jesus Christ does not recognize these names because He was not the one that ordained them.

Dear believer, have you given yourself a name/title that Jesus has not given you and does not recognize?

Remember it is not what you call yourself but what Christ calls you that is important. So, seek Him for your name and run with it.

May: Time for Exploits of Faith

Welcome to May. I am pleased to inform you that the Lord wants us to focus on recording genuine exploits of faith.

Indeed, faith without works is dead. The only true way to demonstrate faith is through works: the exploits of faith. What has your faith in God produced?

Doing the kind of exploits heaven is counting on you for, requires tenacity of faith in the face of a million reasons to fear. When faced with challenges and the temptation to quit, let Jesus' words to Jarius echo deep within your soul: “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

Let massive leaps of faith define your life this month. Determine in your heart that as God gives you grace, you will not chicken out of God’s project or procrastinate simply because you are afraid.

Step out and keep moving at the Lord’s command, holding firm to your undying faith in God: faith in His almightiness and absolute faithfulness.

The supply you have been waiting for awaits you on the way. Until you take your journey, you will not discover all that God earmarked for your lifting.

Importantly, let’s labour to know God more than ever. It certainly is those who know their God that shall do exploits.

The month has hit the ground running. You should, too. Don’t waste the season. Pray, make decisions, plan, and take action.

May God’s grace flow abundantly in you. I look forward to hearing your testimonies. God bless you.

Your brother

AJ Ukporhe

The enemy’s plan is to desecrate the end-time saints so we will not be Holy or carry God’s presence and one weapon he uses is popular Media.

we must strive to maintain and keep our consecration because that is how we will be fit to carry and transfer the power of God.

The days were in calls for every Christian to be Berean believers who will not just take what they're taught: hook, line and sinker but will go back to check and ask: “Did the Bible Really say That”?

Here’s a quick test: Did the Bible really say the following?

Drop your answers in the comments.

There is a thin line between enjoying fellowship with the Lord Jesus and slipping into a religious routine where activities replace devotion.

We must constantly keep our hearts and minds in a posture of seeking Christ or else we risk missing Him altogether.

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; “So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust].”
Revelation 3:14A KJV, 16 AMP

It is a fearful thing when the verdict of Jesus Christ over a church is that they are lukewarm and are headed for rejection. But how does an assembly slip into lukewarmness? And how can we avoid this pitfall?

P.VEE,

Today is one of the days in your life when there has to be a confluence of graces from the realms of our Father speaking into your life. Destiny says you were born today, eternity says you existed before you were born today. We choose to align with both positions.

You existed before the time you were born, but the father of all creation decided to release you into time for destiny in the RCN clan on this day.

Indeed, you are a great vessel, a brother, a friend, and above all, a lover of God and his people and this excellent assignment RCNLagos. This new year ushers you into rest on all sides. I hear the Lord saying, "I give you new wings 🪽, new sight and insight, and great wisdom that will command freshness all around you, says the Lord."

Jesus says it's an entirely new phase. Please make the most of it by growing into wisdom earmarked this season. Portions from heaven come to you now and always. Great grace to you as you navigate family, ministry and business for another 365 days.

Yes, it is the season to 10 to 1; possess it in this new year. I love and celebrate all that you represent.
