Violent clashes in Al-Bab between "Sultan Murad" mercenaries and local tribes

The city of Al-Bab, north of Aleppo, is witnessing an escalating wave of violence as armed clashes have broken out between members of the "Sultan Murad" faction on one side and local tribal groups on the other.

According to local sources, the clashes erupted after residents accused faction members of committing serious violations, including an incident where a woman was allegedly subjected to claims of possession by jinn (Agbal) at the hands of one of the faction’s fighters.

“Armed bandits” killed 20 civilians travelling on a truck in Niger, in a western region where jihadist groups are active, locals said on Saturday.
