منع المضاعفات التي قد تحدث عند اصابة الطفل في السنة الاولى من عمره والتي تشمل:

١)في مره سؤال خصوصا اذا كانت حالتك measles في طفل عمره اقل من 9 أشهر

ليش الطفل مصاب بال measles وع أساس فيه
natural immunity ?? Because of
- Not enough Breast feeding
- Mother isn't immunized( no vaccine & previous infection)
- pt. is immunocompromised

Precautions and Contraindications od Rotavirus vaccine:

-Should not be given to infants with a severe hypersensitivity to any components of the vaccine,
-To infants who had a serious allergic reaction to a previous dose of the vaccine,
-Infants with a history of intussusception from any cause.
-RV1 should not be given to infants with a severe latex allergy.
-Infants with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID).
-Vaccination should be deferred in infants with acute moderate or severe gastroenteritis.

Remember:

-Flank is the part of the abdomen that lies at the sides between the costal margin and the ilium.

-It is usually free and slightly curved inwards in normal children.

-Fullness of flanks is seen in abdominal distension due to any cause such as ascites.

Loin: Lies between the last rib and iliac crest and from vertebral column to flank.
Flank: It's the lateral aspect of loin.

-A palpable spleen is always abnormal.

-It has been observed that the spleen should be about three times its normal size to be palpable clinically!

The following points are helpful in differentiating spleen from kidney enlargement:
(a) Kidney is always bimanually palpable or ballotable.
(b) Splenic notch is felt in splenomegaly.

These two features are the most important.
