Today India has added 10 more wetlands designated as Ramsar sites.

Now, we have 64 Ramsar sites from India.

The 10 new sites include:

6 sites in Tamil Nadu:

1. Koonthankulam Bird Sanctuary (BS).

2. Gulf of Mannar Marine Biosphere Reserve.

3. Vembannur Wetland Complex.

4. Vellode Bird Sanctuary.

5. Vedanthangal BS.

6. Udhayamarthandapuram BS.

Each from Goa, Karnataka, MP, and Odisha.

7) Goa: Nanda Lake

8) Karnataka: Ranganathituu BS

9) Madhya Pradesh: Sirpur wetland.

10) Odisha: Satkosia Gorge
