We at BiRD (British Ivermectin Recommendation Development group) had our first correspondence with the FDA in February 2021, when we sent the BiRD Evidence-to-Decision document on ivermectin to Dr Peter Stein, Dr Janet Woodcock and other relevant FDA colleagues.

In case you don't know, BiRD recommended using ivermectin for Covid prevention and treatment.

The FDA cannot claim ignorance when tweeting the horse tweet six month later, as we had received the following reply on 26 Feb 2021:

"Dear Dr. Lawrie,
Thank you for forwarding this information – it’s much appreciated – and clearly reflects your group’s thoughtful assessment. We’ll certainly review what you’ve provided.
