VERY BAD NEWS FOR FREEDOM!

The “Ban TikTok Act” or as I like to call it more accurately “Patriot Act 2.0” has just passed the House in an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY, 352-65.

ByteDance has 6 Months to find a “divestment plan” or it will be BANNED.

As I mentioned, if this bill passes and is subsequently signed into law, which Joe Biden said he would do, then that would be the END of internet freedom and anonymity in America.

EVERYONE needs to wrap their mind tightly around the fact that this bill has NOTHING to do with TikTok. That argument about TikTok being used as a way for the CCP to “spy on Americans” or “inject harmful content into our children” is nothing more than a TROJAN HORSE.

The REAL reason for this bill, it’s in the fine print, is that this gives the Government free rein to BAN ANY APP OR WEBSITE IT WANTS. Also, the ability to use a VPN to protect your privacy.

I would rather the CCP spy on me than my own Government say what I can, and cannot look at on the internet.

If someone had hurt your family and friends in an underhanded manner, and had the capacity and intent of doing it again, would you want to know? Maybe you could prevent future injuries if you were aware of how and why they were first inflicted.

You may, or may not, believe that the Covid-19 pandemic merited the response we gave. Either way, consideration should be given to what we were forced to do, and what was lost over the past four years – all under the banner of fighting a virus.

This book is not a medical study or conclusive document. It presents various ideas and concerns shared by so-called “Covid dissidents” who, from the beginning, were concerned that our pandemic response was causing more harm than Covid-19 itself. No doubt there are other relevant points, and points of view, that are missing from this collection, but it’s a start. My hope is that this compilation will lead to thoughtful consideration, fruitful conversations, and the pursuit of additional knowledge.

We’ve been in touch. I think he’s really quite scared with what’s happening. I’m guessing he was always aware of its controlling power, necessarily totalitarian. But it’s recent events and their interpretation by people like me and others.
I expect he now sees with mounting horror what this technology facilitates.
I’ve seen this from early on, the details becoming clearer as time passes.
I believe that a single format digital ID is an essential step along the way. I expect one day to wake up and find that some additional login credentials are going to be required to do online banking on your phone.
Don’t fall for it. Please make it difficult for them.

The documentary Princes of the Yen is based on his book and is well worth watching. It’s an eye-opener. Catherine urges all of us to either watch the documentary or read his book or both. The documentary definitely added to my understanding. Should you want to purchase his book, be aware it is best bought direct from the publisher, as other outlets are price gouging, evidently to discourage buyers.
