Tomorrow, May 23, 2023 the trial against Prof. Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi will take place.
"Incitement of the people. Inconceivable" is the basic tenor of the free-thinking journalists to the upcoming trial against the renowned microbiologist Prof. Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi. Germany-wide and also beyond the borders the attention concentrates on the large question: the constitutional state will pass the examination over the constitution of the own judgement or with the clearing-up man of the first hour an example under the use of each conceivable means is made? Tomorrow's case could have a lasting effect on whether the dock will once again be the dock or will continue to be used for the persecution of honorable innocent people. Court has adjourned for at least 45 minutes. Professor Bhakdi receives support from the crowd outside and waves to them.
Court has adjourned for at least 45 min. Prof. Bhakdi’s lawyers argued three reasons for the court to drop the case. 1) the prosecution didn’t have the full video at the time when it opened the court proceedings 2) they didn’t make an effort to receive the entire video (which contained the alleged anti-Semitic statements) 3) concerns over the indictment containing Prof. Bhakdi a private info. The judge adjourned court for a break to consider these arguments.
