#IIMMumbai will announce admission policy and application form separately

IIM Mumbai will use the #CAT2023 score for admissions

Their website mentions an application fee for General Candidates - ₹2000/- for SC/ST/PwD ₹1000/-

My understanding is that, like IIFT, IIM Mumbai will take score separately this year at least and candidates would have to apply in addition to CAT.

Often I hear students saying, yeh nahin hota. Quant bahut difficult hai. etc. etc. etc

Ask yourself – “Have I really tried to work on this? Like Really, Really tried? Tried to the extent I would to find that perfect Insta – pose? Tried to the extent of using hacks in your favorite game?”

The answer often is NO.

And I get it, trying is hard. Trying and not succeeding in harder. I have seen many people so afraid that they wont even try. Trying can be daunting. Trying can be trying (get it? 😊)

But, trying can be relaxing too. Trying will often help you discover abilities you didn’t know had. Strengths you never knew existed.

Trying builds confidence and belief in yourself.

Coming to your CAT prep – Give it all you have. Read the topic before class. Prepare the #*#$ out of topic that scares you. You want a decent college, don’t you? After all, life at a B-school (and even after that) is definitely not a bed of roses. Trust me, I know! Ask your friends at a good B-school.

But that’s kind of the point. You want that! You want that life. You want that exhilarating feeling.

And you’ve got to try for that. You will spend sleepless nights later. Might as well start now and get a good percentile.

Only by trying.

1. Double check all the data. You cannot edit them after payment.
2. The only 3 areas which can be modified during the edit window are - Photograph, Signature, and Test City Preference
3. Remember to check the conformation on the home page / SMS / E-mail
4. Download the submitted application

I am getting a lot of messages from tensed students. Preparation not going as per plan. Scores not increasing. Scores fluctuating. Concentration wavering. Nervous in general.

Guys, please relax. This is just an exam. That's it.

It doesn't decide your worth. You do.

I understand there are hurdles. You thought it would be smooth. Expectation didn't match the reality.

So what??? This isn't the first time it has happened. This wouldn't be the last time either.

So take a deep breath. Relax. Give your best shot on 26th.

If it doesn't work out... well... let's try again next year.

Profile of a 100%iler?

Anyone can be a 💯100%iler. There maybe one sitting next to you!

They may not have a 47th chromosome 🧬. They may not have been a topper 🏆 throughout their lives. They are just like you and I. They have their social 🎦media accounts and would have watched a plethora of web series🎬. And they might have continued to remain just ordinary, like the bulk of us.

I have received multiple requests for #VA / #RC #guidance. Now keep in mind that I am not a Verbal faculty, in fact as far away from it as possible. But this is what has always worked for me.

So, please read on with a pinch of salt!

1. Read books, newspapers, magazines, and online articles on a variety of topics. 📚📖

2. Highlight or underline key points, unfamiliar words, or phrases while reading. Take notes or jot down summaries of what you've read to reinforce your understanding. ✒️📙

3. Learn new words regularly. Keep a vocabulary journal and record unfamiliar words, their meanings, and example sentences. 📝📝

4. Summarize what you've read in your own words after each section or chapter. Try to predict what will happen next in a story. Identify the author's purpose, tone, and main arguments in non-fiction works. 📑🔖

5. Analyze and evaluate the information you read. Consider the author's bias, credibility, and potential agenda. 📑🔖

6. Sharing and listening to different interpretations can broaden your perspective. 👥

Be patient with yourself and stay persistent in your efforts. ANY skill takes time to build up! ⏰⏳
