5 things to last you a lifetime that you can learn in five minutes

1. When the power goes out search for WiFi networks on your phone to see if everyone's power is out.

2. Quell road rage by pretending that every asshole driver really has to poop.

3. If your car is overheating, turn your heat on full blast. When you turn the heat on in a car, it pulls heat from the engine into the cab, thus cooling the engine.

4. Don't save your banking information on online stores. Makes impulse buying much more difficult if you have to track down your wallet.
4A. When buying online, leave items in the shopping cart for awhile. There is a good chance that the website is tracking this, and will lower the price overtime to entice you into buying.

5. Fill in the 'TO' field of an E - mail last.

Bonus: Remember that one 18-inch pizza is more pizza than two 12-inch pizzas.

Which B - school is better?

This is a very common question that I get in groups, classroom or DMs. The answer depends on several factors such as:
1. Current graduation and future aspirations
2. Work experience or Internship experiences you have had
3. Family background - Do you support from family business etc?
4. How desperate you are to do an MBA?

I have seen students reject IMI Delhi or IMT Ghaziabad because they aspired for a better opportunity and were in no hurry to do an MBA.

I have also seen people pining for IMI Delhi or IMT Ghaziabad.

I have also had interaction with people who settled for a tier 3 college despite having a high potential because they could not wait for another year!

So, don't take random opinions online. What may suit one may not suit others!

PS: A Golden Rule - Go to every interview opportunity you do get. Convert them first and then worry about which B - school to join.

When framing your answers to discuss your strengths and weaknesses, try to strike a balance between self-awareness, and showcasing your ability to learn and grow

Strengths
1. Choose Relevant Strengths: Relevant to the profile, Highlight qualities the recruiter values
2. Provide Examples: Specific examples from your past experiences
3. Be Genuine: Choose strengths that genuinely reflect your abilities, Don't exaggerate or claim strengths that you don't possess

Weaknesses
1. Select a real weakness: Should not significantly hinder your performance, Don't be over smart and say "I'm a perfectionist"
2. Show Self-Awareness: Demonstrate your awareness of your weakness and its impact, What are your plans to overcome upon it.
3. Highlight Learning and Growth: What steps have you taken to address the weakness
4. Be Positive: Frame your weakness in a way to highlight the improvement journey, Avoid sounding overly negative

Strength Example: One of my strengths is my ability to communicate effectively. In my previous role as a project manager, I consistently facilitated clear communication between team members and stakeholders, ensuring everyone was on the same page

Weakness Example: I recognize that I tend to be overly detailed in my work, which sometimes leads to spending more time than necessary on a task. However, I've been actively working on refining my time management skills. I've implemented strategies such as setting specific milestones and priorities, and I've seen significant improvements in my efficiency without compromising quality.

If this helped you, give me a πŸ‘πŸ½
