How to have a useful day??

1) Morning exercise 🏃🏻activates Brain Derived Neutrophic Factor and increases seratonin and dopamine 🧪 levels. It sets your brain up for focus and reduces stress.📝

2) Create a plan ✍🏼for the day. Make sure you are clear on what you need to achieve for the day. Prioritize your tasks from most important to least important and start at the top.

3) 🗒🎵👨🏻‍💻🎯Read, write, journal, listen to a podcast or watch a documentary. Gain insights first thing in the morning while your brain is fresh and your neurons 🧬 are firing. Learning early in the morning stimulates the brain 🎉 and gives you the ability to retain more information.

Choose one of these to do every morning and watch your life change in ways you cannot even imagine

As a fellow traveller, who was in your shoes not so long ago - Well that's a lie, it was real long ago - I know what you are going through!

You may feel that this is a make or break time, and you are right to an extent, but not in the terms that you think. Yes, it is the final three weeks before the CAT exam. Yes, this period can make a substantial difference in your performance.

But NO, this exam and these three weeks don't decide you worth. YOU DO!

Profile of a 100%iler?

Anyone can be a 💯100%iler. There maybe one sitting next to you!

They may not have a 47th chromosome 🧬. They may not have been a topper 🏆 throughout their lives. They are just like you and I. They have their social 🎦media accounts and would have watched a plethora of web series🎬. And they might have continued to remain just ordinary, like the bulk of us.

However, they decided that it was high time to make a change. And they changed themselves. They reimagined themselves.

The real question here is DO YOU WANT AN ADMISSION IN A TOP B SCHOOL AND ARE YOU WILLING TO WORK FOR IT?

A 100 %iler has
1. A plan that needs to be followed diligently 📅
2. A dedication to stick to the plan despite numerous distractions 🎂🎦

All slots are equally good/bad.

What you should do now:

1) Stop worrying and Start practicing

2) Practice mocks in your dedicated slot to get your body habituated.

3) If anyone has got a Center out of their preference list, please plan to reach there a day before.

4) Read all the instructions on the admit card very carefully. There are several important ones.

Thought of the day

Can we take our pencils or one coloured pen (for ease of writing) to exam? What will be the size of though notebook that they will provide? Can I ask for more than one notebook?

Nopes. And nopes.

They will provide one A5 size notepad containing 16 sheets. You can ask but they don't give any more to you. They clearly mention this at the beginning that no more though work space would be provided.

You cannot carry any stationery item - pen, pencil scale etc - to the centre. They will provide one pen at the beginning which would have to be returned at the end of the test. You will also return the notepad to the invigilator and your ID and name will be written at the front page

Whatever work needs to be done, needs to be managed only in that space.

Is it true that Slot 1/ 2 / 3 is Difficult / Easy? Which slot is difficult? Which slot is easier to score?

1) The question itself is moot as you have been allotted a slot and you are going to have to deal with it. Whether you have to wake up at 5 AM or be stressed till evening is ALL immaterial

2) There maybe changes in the difficulty levels across the slots and it might vary between the sections as well. But that's something which is really out of our control and definitely not something we can predict

3) If all slots were of the same difficulty level, some slots would have an unfair advantage because they would get to work with some feedback as well as extra time to prepare

4) And lastly, a little bit of faith. Every year the exam is conducted for More than 2 lakh students and it would do us well to assume that the CAT convenors know their testing approaches.
