He stumbled onto Q in the Fall of 2017 spurred on by first following posts on 4Chan posted by an account named MegaAnon. At the time AO was a complete novice with social media having only tweeted a handful of times.

On Jan 17th, 2018 he was watching Trump hold an event for Bob Dole at the White House recognizing his lifetime of service to the USA. A singer for the Army band sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' (lyrics below) just in front of President Trump which raised the hairs on his arms. A quick review of the lyrics and he knew for a fact that this operation was indeed legitimate. He then immediately started an Anon account on Twitter and began pitching in helping amplify the truth to the best of his ability.
