Russia has hired about 1,000 volunteers from the so-called army of Bashar al-Assad and Hezbollah (organisation partially or fully recognised as terrorist by EU countries, the United States, Canada, Israel). The main requirement for foreign fighters is an experience of fighting in a city. At the same time, the mercenaries do not intend to fight in Ukraine but perceive it as an opportunity to get into European countries, says the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At least three wholesale warehouses with medicines, some in Kharkiv, were damaged by Russian shelling. Mykhailo Radutsky, Chairman of the Parliament Committee on National Health: “Currently, there is no shortage of medicines in the country. Deliveries may only be disrupted in the cities where active fights are ongoing.”
