Global Unity "Stabbed in the Back": France blasts Washington over EXCLUSION from Strategic AUKUS Deal

Has a rift between allies grown deeper? Paris has launched a scathing attack on America and Australia, after Canberra ditched a multi-billion-dollar submarine deal for a new defense pact and nuclear boats from the US.

France's foreign and defense ministers called it "contrary to the spirit of the letter, and were angered by the Biden Admin's decision to overlook France in the pact with Australia and the UK.

“The American choice to exclude a European ally and partner such as France from a structuring partnership with Australia, at a time when we are facing unprecedented challenges in the Indo-Pacific region ... shows a lack of coherence that France can only note and regret,” the French ministerial statement said.

France’s former ambassador to the US said they had been “stabbed in the back.." and that, " the world is a jungle."
