⚡️India Launches First Locally Built Aircraft Carrier

India has launched its first locally built
aircraft carrier, named the INS Vikrant,
meaning 'courageous' in Hindi.
The $2.5bn, 262m-long vessel took 17 years to build and test, and is designed to accommodate 1.600 crew and 30 aircraft.

"It is a symbol of indigenous potential,
indigenous resources and indigenous skills. The steel installed in its airbase is also indigenous," India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the launch event, where Denis Alipov - Russia's ambassador to India
remarked "the world needs a super strong India."
