Roblox announced daily creator payouts through a new financial account, standalone game apps, browser-based play without installation, and an expanded suite of AI creation tools.
“Our vision is bigger than just faster payments,” — said Enrico D’Angelo, Roblox’s Chief Business Officer. “Wallet is the foundation to help creators grow from small businesses run by individuals into thriving big companies.”
The moves extend Roblox’s role beyond a platform where creators publish games into more of the business that surrounds those games, from development and distribution to financial management.

Ripple sees corporate treasuries as a major growth opportunity for its RLUSD stablecoin, with Ripple Treasury customers processing roughly $13 trillion in transactions annually, Jack McDonald, SVP of stablecoins, said.
RLUSD circulation surged more than 50% in a month to $2.4 billion, but McDonald said utility matters more than market cap, pointing to daily activity more than tripling since the start of the year to about $750 million.
Ripple is also looking to bring RLUSD into Europe through a MiCA-compliant dual-issuance structure, while remaining selective about expansion to additional blockchains.

The Indian state of Maharashtra is developing a policy to bring its own assets onto blockchain, including a potential tokenization of electricity transmission infrastructure, with proceeds used to fund new power lines and energy storage.
Today, the transmission lines earn steady fee income from carrying power across the grid, but the capital tied up in building them stays locked in place and can’t easily be freed up for new projects. He linked this to a problem Maharashtra faces today: the state generates a large surplus of solar power, but lacks the grid capacity to move it to where and when it’s needed.
Pardeshi said the state could potentially solve this by tokenizing a portion of its transmission assets, allowing investors to receive a share of the income they generate while providing the state with fresh capital for new infrastructure.
“The transmission lines can themselves be tokenized — not fully, but even 40%, 50% of that,” Pardeshi said.
“People who hold that token can get part of the income which Maharashtra Transco Company is getting... the new money that it generates from the people who buy the token can help us to build more transmission lines, to build more solar energy storage centers.”

Chinese developers will create an inclusive platform for BRICS, equipped with AI, with open source and access. This was stated on September 13 by Chinese President Xi Jinping, as part of his speech at the unification summit in the "outreach" format in New Delhi.
"China will commit to creating an open AI zone based on BRICS, <...> and also create an open AI ecosystem," — the content of his speech is quoted on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Xi Jinping announced that Beijing will hold workshops and trainings on AI, and also announced the imminent launch of large-scale language models. The corresponding step by the Chinese side, as explained by its leader, is being taken in order to consolidate and multiply the successes achieved by the BRICS.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as the Islamic Republic touts a potential deal to allow more ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has said it will brief Gulf states on Monday on a new agreement, though says any deal won't amount to a full reopening of the strait and that it will have a say on which ships can traverse it.
The rare public discussions between the two powers occurred on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in India and came as Oman seeks to bring the Gulf Cooperation Council and Iran together to discuss the waterway, a global chokepoint for energy exports.

In an essay titled “We Must Pace the Frontier”, Dario Amodei, CEO of Claude’s developer, Anthropic, called for companies to deliberately pace advances in frontier AI, arguing that model capabilities were improving faster than researchers’ ability to understand and control them.
“We must slow the pace at which we improve the capabilities of AI models,” — Amodei wrote.
“Not building the technology deprives humanity of benefits or simply places AI in the hands of authoritarian powers, while building it too fast is reckless.”
Two other prominent leaders of rival giant AI and tech companies quickly backed the idea:
Three of AI’s most prominent rivals now share the view that frontier AI should keep advancing, but not necessarily as fast as technically possible.

President Donald Trump downplayed the growing alarm over risks from AI after some of the industry's leaders called for slowing the development pace of the technology.
"We're leading China in AI. We're the most sophisticated country in the world, and frankly, I want to keep it that way because whoever wins AI wins," — Trump said.
"And we can put guardrails. We can do this and that. But I think you have a lot of negative forces that are bringing it up that shouldn't be bringing it up."

Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney wants closer links with the European Union and is exploring whether his country could become an "associate member" of the bloc. Carney has spoken regularly with several EU leaders, most notably French President Emmanuel Macron, about the possibility of letting Canadians live and work visa-free in the EU. Both leaders are set to meet later this month.
Canada and the EU are discussing freer movement of goods, services and workers in strategic sectors like energy, AI, defence and critical minerals, while also exploring joint infrastructure projects, including underwater cables, data centres, cloud storage, satellites and energy routes.

Inflammation is one of the immune system's most important defense responses. It helps the body fight infection and repair damaged tissue. But if that response remains active for too long, it can begin to harm healthy tissue and contribute to conditions including arthritis, heart disease, and diabetes.
Researchers at University College London (UCL) have identified a biological mechanism that helps the body bring inflammation to an end, a finding that could eventually lead to new treatments for chronic inflammatory diseases affecting millions of people.
The new study, published in Nature Communications, points to a group of small fat-derived molecules called epoxy-oxylipins as part of that shutdown process. These molecules act like natural brakes on the immune system.
"This is the first study to map epoxy-oxylipin activity in humans during inflammation. By boosting these protective fat molecules, we could design safer treatments for diseases driven by chronic inflammation," — corresponding author Professor Derek Gilroy (UCL Division of Medicine) said.

Here’s the key insight: you don’t need to encrypt all the data to make it quantum safe. Decrypting everything is computationally hard and very expensive.
Ultimately, RLNC can also be leveraged as a “quantum-safe memory layer” for blockchains. A way to ensure that data propagation, storage, and writing to the chain inherits quantum security without every transaction being painfully encrypted end-to-end.
