India has started settling corporate bonds using blockchain technology and central-bank digital money, taking tokenization deeper into the country’s traditional financial markets.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India this week launched Demat 2.0, a pilot built around the electronic accounts Indian investors already use to hold stocks and bonds. Under the program, corporate bonds can be issued as digital tokens on a distributed ledger run by regulated market institutions.
Demat 2.0 connects the tokenized bond ledger with the Reserve Bank of India’s wholesale digital rupee through its Unified Market Interface. That allows the bond and the money used to pay for it to move together, cutting settlement risk between the two sides of a trade.

What Really Happens When Thousands of People Come Together?
Five years is enough time for an idea to be tested by reality.
People come and go. Questions change. New information appears. What seemed important at the beginning can look completely different years later.

Microsoft has finally solved one of the biggest pain points of Windows with the rollout of Cloud Rebuild. The new recovery feature can reinstall Windows 11 even when an existing Windows installation is corrupt or refuses to boot. Available as a beta through the newly released Windows 11 Insider Beta Preview Build 26220.9343, the feature is essentially a hassle-free alternative to creating a Windows installation USB drive when a PC needs to be recovered.
Cloud Rebuild is designed to restore a Windows 11 PC to a “clean, known-good state” by downloading a fresh image of Windows along with the required drivers directly through Windows Update. Unlike the existing Reset this PC functionality, it does not depend on the health of your existing Windows installation, nor does it require users to have a USB drive or custom recovery image available.

Civic group NoCams Muskego has filed suit against Waukesha County and 11 individual municipalities, asserting Flock camera use violates the Fourth Amendment. They record images of all vehicles and license plates, which are uploaded to a searchable database using AI and marketed as a “vehicle fingerprint,” according to the plaintiffs.
The group asks the court to require law enforcement to obtain a warrant before accessing the Flock location database, which keeps data on individuals’ past, present and even potential future movements captured by the cameras. They bring their suit against Waukesha County and the cities of Muskego, Oconomowoc, New Berlin, Waukesha, Delafield and Brookfield, as well as the villages of Mukwonago, Hartland, Menomonee Falls, Elm Grove and Pewaukee.

President Donald Trump suggested he might be willing to allow a Chinese car company to build electric vehicles in the US if it did so with American workers, while pledging to maintain the effective US ban on imported vehicles from China.
“But they're going to use our people to build it. Now, if China wanted to come in and open a plant to build their cars here, I'd be okay with that. Japan does it, but they hire our people. The big thing is they hire our people,” — Trump said.

Ripple sees corporate treasuries as a major growth opportunity for its RLUSD stablecoin, with Ripple Treasury customers processing roughly $13 trillion in transactions annually, Jack McDonald, SVP of stablecoins, said.
RLUSD circulation surged more than 50% in a month to $2.4 billion, but McDonald said utility matters more than market cap, pointing to daily activity more than tripling since the start of the year to about $750 million.
Ripple is also looking to bring RLUSD into Europe through a MiCA-compliant dual-issuance structure, while remaining selective about expansion to additional blockchains.

The Indian state of Maharashtra is developing a policy to bring its own assets onto blockchain, including a potential tokenization of electricity transmission infrastructure, with proceeds used to fund new power lines and energy storage.
Today, the transmission lines earn steady fee income from carrying power across the grid, but the capital tied up in building them stays locked in place and can’t easily be freed up for new projects. He linked this to a problem Maharashtra faces today: the state generates a large surplus of solar power, but lacks the grid capacity to move it to where and when it’s needed.
Pardeshi said the state could potentially solve this by tokenizing a portion of its transmission assets, allowing investors to receive a share of the income they generate while providing the state with fresh capital for new infrastructure.
“The transmission lines can themselves be tokenized — not fully, but even 40%, 50% of that,” Pardeshi said.
“People who hold that token can get part of the income which Maharashtra Transco Company is getting... the new money that it generates from the people who buy the token can help us to build more transmission lines, to build more solar energy storage centers.”

Chinese developers will create an inclusive platform for BRICS, equipped with AI, with open source and access. This was stated on September 13 by Chinese President Xi Jinping, as part of his speech at the unification summit in the "outreach" format in New Delhi.
"China will commit to creating an open AI zone based on BRICS, <...> and also create an open AI ecosystem," — the content of his speech is quoted on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Xi Jinping announced that Beijing will hold workshops and trainings on AI, and also announced the imminent launch of large-scale language models. The corresponding step by the Chinese side, as explained by its leader, is being taken in order to consolidate and multiply the successes achieved by the BRICS.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as the Islamic Republic touts a potential deal to allow more ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has said it will brief Gulf states on Monday on a new agreement, though says any deal won't amount to a full reopening of the strait and that it will have a say on which ships can traverse it.
The rare public discussions between the two powers occurred on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in India and came as Oman seeks to bring the Gulf Cooperation Council and Iran together to discuss the waterway, a global chokepoint for energy exports.
