The US Army has tested a quantum-resistant cybersecurity platform under live battlefield conditions, demonstrating its ability to protect tactical communications from emerging quantum threats.
QuSecure’s QuProtect R3 was deployed during Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PCC6), an annual Army experiment held at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. Operated by soldiers during the exercise, the system provided secure communications, cryptographic agility, and an inventory of cryptographic assets used across tactical mission systems.
Led by Joey Lupo (Product Manager) and Brian Cunningham (EVP of Growth and Strategy), QuSecure confirms that the QuProtect R3 platform is immediately available for TLS modernization, cryptographic inventorying, and PQC deployment across federal agencies, military branches, and commercial critical infrastructure.

DBS (D05) and Citi (C) completed the first cross-border USD payment over a weekend using tokenized deposits on Swift's Digital Ledger. The transaction, executed on Sept. 5 between DBS in Singapore and Citi's New York office, settled in minutes rather than the industry norm of up to two business days.
The back-to-back tests come as Swift's $1.5 quadrillion network faces pressure from stablecoins and tokenized deposits that settle around the clock, raising the question of whether the 53-year-old messaging network can adapt fast enough to remain relevant. Unlike superconducting systems, the quantum processor does not need to be operated at temperatures close to absolute zero.

Microwaves and deliberately generated variations in the magnetic field allow the qubits to be controlled individually and connected directly to one another.
