Sony Music Publishing, Warner Chappell and numerous other music publishers have sued Anthropic and co-founders Dario Amodei and Benjamin Mann, alleging the AI lab conducted a “brazen campaign of illegally torrenting, scraping, and downloading copyrighted works.”
The lawsuit, which was filed late Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, was first reported by Music Business Worldwide. The publishers accuse Anthropic of “blatant theft” by using thousands of copyrighted works to train its AI model Claude.
“We disagree with the publishers’ claims and we intend to defend ourselves robustly in court,” an Anthropic spokesperson wrote.

Zano Hard Fork 6 Goes Live: Unlocking Privacy-First DeFi and Cross-Chain Bridging
Zano has launched Hard Fork 6, a major upgrade introducing Gateway Addresses for easier exchange integration and non-custodial bridging between Zano and transparent chains like Ethereum and Solana.
The centerpiece of Hard Fork 6 is the introduction of Gateway Addresses. This new account-based address type is designed specifically for infrastructure providers, including centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and bridges. While Zano’s core privacy remains rooted in a UTXO model, Gateway Addresses provide a single, directly tracked balance and instant synchronization, removing the custom engineering hurdles that previously hindered third-party integrations.
Furthermore, HF6 enables native $ZANO to bridge non-custodially to transparent networks, specifically Ethereum and Solana, for the first time. This bidirectional functionality allows assets to move into external ecosystems—where they become public—and regain Zano’s privacy protections when bridged back to the native chain. The upgrade also introduces several network-level enhancements, including:
• Stronger Consensus: Implementation of tighter validation rules and a more decisive fork-choice rule.
• Hardened Security: Enhanced wallet file encryption and new anti-DoS limits for nodes, including SOCKS5 proxy support for Tor routing.
• Operational Efficiency: Per-output payment IDs for cleaner merchant matching and the ability for mining pools to dry-run blocks to prevent stalls.
• Developer Tools: Hardened RPC interfaces for safer third-party application building.
Looking ahead, the network is preparing for the Zano Execution Layer (ZEL), an EVM-compatible sidechain intended to support standard Solidity contracts and tools like MetaMask and Hardhat, alongside a transition to a pure proof-of-stake protocol dubbed Zenith, currently scheduled for Q2 2027.

What makes Zano different from Monero?

Ripple Treasury intends to increase the utility of XRP by using it to facilitate enterprise payment volumes. Ripple Treasury has direct access to Blackrock’s BUIDL platform.
“We're working with a really wide group of traditional and new players on building access to high quality long-term investment products that can grow and thrive in digital wallets,” — states Blackrock’s Martin Small.
“The first is to BRIDGE traditional finance world and the decentralized finance markets. We're doing that through our digital assets products, IBIT, ETHA, BUIDL.”

The CFTC ordered a former White House teleprompter operator to pay more than $172,000 to settle charges that he used his advance access to President Trump's speeches to profit from "mention markets" on prediction marketplace Kalshi. The former employee, Gabriel Perez, was ordered to repay $107,539.02 in profits and pay an additional $65,000 civil fine. The order also bars him from trading on any CFTC-registered entity for three years.
Perez opened an account at Kalshi on Dec. 8, 2025, and traded between December 2025 and March 2026. Perez allegedly read Trump's prepared remarks roughly an hour before delivery and placed his trades on Kalshi mention markets, which attempt to predict specific words that public figures will use in addresses, based on the words in the text.

A quantum computer can have hundreds of qubits, but one drifting laser can still bring the whole machine to a halt. Keeping those lasers precisely tuned is one of the less glamorous, and surprisingly difficult parts of running a quantum computer. Now, researchers have shown that an AI agent can learn to diagnose and correct some of these failures on its own.
In a test involving a neutral-atom quantum-computing system operated by Massachusetts-based QuEra Computing, Anthropic’s Claude restored a laser’s lock in 695 of 700 trials, usually in less than six seconds. The result points to a different role for AI in quantum computing: not solving a quantum problem, but learning how to keep the hardware itself working.
“For years, the hardest part of scaling quantum computers wasn’t the physics. It was the people driving at 2 am to fix a laser lock. We built a solution using the Model Hardware Standard to fix that,” — Sergio Cantu, VP of Quantum Systems at QuEra Computing, said.

At the Vietnam RWA Summit 2026, To Tran Hoa, Deputy Standing Head of the Digital Asset Trading Market Board under the State Securities Commission, said 5 companies had passed the first assessment to develop exchanges. They must next meet Level 4 information-system security requirements and contribute at least 10 trillion VND (383 million USD) in capital.
Nguyen The Minh, Director of the Investment Banking Division at An Binh Securities Company, said licensed exchanges would give Vietnamese investors a more official, transparent and secure way to trade crypto assets. The new rules are also expected to curb fraudulent exchanges and encourage investors to choose trading platforms that comply with Vietnamese law.
