We've worked with Stellar for five plus years. And then, you know, I think on our side, when we were thinking about, to the consumer, what was the most flexible, best way in terms of doing transaction at the lowest cost, most efficient on our network, the answer was clear for us in terms of consumer products we were building was going to be Stellar. And so we made that decision to work with them in our.

Chainlink Labs Head of Institutional Strategy Andrew McCormick expects AI agents and robots to become a growing source of blockchain activity as autonomous systems increasingly need ways to transact and communicate.
McCormick pointed to agentic AI as one area where crypto infrastructure could play a role. He also expects advances in AI to make blockchain development cheaper, supporting what he described as a future with many different networks.
"We believe that we will live in a world of many chains," โ McCormick said. "I think especially with AI, the price of chain creation and engineering and tech makes it easier and cheaper."
"There's a lot of Star Wars vibes, but it's happening," โ he said.โค๏ธ

Evernorth is looking to deploy its XRP holdings across the XRP Ledger ecosystem as proposed lending functionality moves through the network's review process, according to Chief Business Officer Sagar Shah.
Shah is particularly excited about XLS-66, a proposal designed to bring native lending functionality to the XRP Ledger. Shah argued that implementing XLS-66 at the ledger level could offer greater protections than DeFi applications built through smart contracts on top of other networks.
"Because it's natively built into the ledger, I think a lot of the protections that exist, smart contract exploits might exist with other chains, are almost non-existent on the XRP Ledger," โ Shah said.
Validators are currently reviewing the code and assessing its robustness as the proposal moves forward.

Binance has launched Agent OS, a developer platform that lets AI agents connect to its trading, market data, wallet, and payment infrastructure. Agent OS brings together Binance APIs, the Binance Wallet Agentic Hub, Binance x402, Binance Skill Hub, and support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) into a broader platform for agentic crypto applications.
These tools can allow developers to build workflows involving on-chain activity, wallet interactions, machine-to-machine payments and DeFi data. Binance said payment and on-chain capabilities are not yet part of the MCP server itself and can instead be accessed through other Agent OS integrations. The company also offers a Skill Hub with ready-made capabilities for tasks such as trading, Web3 wallet tracking and DeFi interactions.
Crypto platforms are shifting toward AI agents that can execute financial actions.

Micron announced a plan to establish the Micron Research Lab, which will explore memory, computing, packaging, and semiconductor manufacturing technologies that could be used commercially more than a decade from now.
The facility will bring together expertise from Micron itself as well as its customers, government organizations, startups, universities, and partners in a bid to develop pre-competitive IP that will be required years away. The company plans to invest $10 billion over the next 10 years in the initiative.

In electrical circuits, transistors switch or amplify electric signals, but researchers at the MIT have swapped in electrical signals for biological ones, using three strains of the bacteria Pantoea agglomerans to โcarryโ signals across circuits. It takes the cells a lengthy 8 hours to perform each calculation, but the findings, published in Nature Chemical Biology, demonstrate the potential of biotechnology in unexpected ways.
โWeโre not trying to replace computers, but rather put computational control into biology,โ โ Christopher Voigt, head of MITโs Department of Biological Engineering and the studyโs senior author, said.
โIf you have bacteria on the root of a plant, or the plant itself is doing the computing, running a simple calculation overnight is fast enough relative to a growth season.โ
Using this approach, the researchers hope to develop circuits that one day could coat plant leaves or roots, where they could compute to sense and respond to environmental conditions such as drought or attack by pests.

Rippleโs RLUSD team is testing Permission Delegation on the XRPL Devnet, with the feature currently subject to validator voting on the XRP Ledger.
Permission Delegation provides a protocol-level mechanism to implement that separation. The same structure can apply to other regulated tokens beyond RLUSD.

Researchers in Singapore have just unveiled a new type of data center prototype that uses living human neurons to process information. The project was launched by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the NUS Medicine. To develop the prototype, the university teamed up with data center developer DayOne and biological computing startup Cortical Labs.
Established at the NUS Life Sciences Institute, the Biological Data Centre is made up of 20 CL1 biological computing units. The CL1 is the worldโs first commercial, code-deployable biological computer. It is powered by 800,000 lab-grown human brain cells. This is the worldโs first independently operated biologically integrated server rack.
Biological computing uses wetware to process data. This consists of living neurons grown from stem cells. The neurons are connected to computing hardware via microelectrode arrays. These let electrical signals pass between the biological cells and digital systems.

Solo developer Grow Now! Games has put a playable browser build of its walkable ASCII cyberpunk city online, running on a 283KB Rust WebAssembly engine feeding a WebGL renderer.
"I wanted to build a city that feels alive, but is made entirely from ASCII characters. This is a small custom engine built with JavaScript and Canvas โ no Unity, Unreal, 3D models, textures, or shaders. The world is a grid-based city with roads, buildings, trees, cars, and pedestrians," - developer said.

Members of the world's largest 'truly open library in human history' have issued a worldwide call to volunteers, begging them to scan and upload books online to prevent AI companies from obtaining and destroying huge quantities of books. The Anna's Archive appeal follows multiple reports that large AI companies are buying up books to train AI models, often resulting in the destruction of the works.
โThis is a race against time,โ โ the author said in the Anna's Archive blog post. โOur ideal is to scan and upload all the worldโs publications before publishers completely block knowledge, and before AI companies scan and destroy all the worldโs books and papers.โ

๐ 125-mile range in 5-minute charge: Huawei unveils ultra-fast liquid-cooled EV charger
Electric vehicles can now add up to 200 kilometers (125 miles) of driving range in just five minutes of charging. This is what Huaweiโs new ultra-fast charging platform promises. It uses a direct-current, liquid-cooled architecture to charge vehicles quickly without placing heavy demands on local electricity networks.
Huaweiโs platform connects its battery energy storage system directly to a direct-current bus. The hardware addresses grid constraints that often delay the installation of high-power vehicle chargers across European regions with older power infrastructure.

Slovakiaโs government plans to scrap a financial transaction tax introduced last year that drew sharp criticism from businesses and the opposition. Prime Minister Robert Fico said heโd asked the Finance Ministry to prepare legislation to abolish the tax as of January 1.
The measure was widely criticized by the opposition and business groups, which said it damaged Slovakiaโs competitiveness as it was the only country in the eurozone with a comparable levy. It also brought in less revenue than the government had originally planned.

IBM is announcing the first dual-architecture mainframe processor, which is being designed to enable enterprises to run operating systems and applications on both the IBM and Arm compute platforms in future IBM Z and LinuxONE systems. This marks the first processor milestone to emerge from the IBM and Arm collaboration and represents a significant advance in enterprise computing.
The new processor is being developed to allow organizations to run Arm-native Linux environments simultaneously with z/OS and Linux on IBM Z, while benefiting from IBMโs established security, reliability, and scale.
This new processor will bring that ecosystem to the IBM platforms known globally for transaction processing and data-intensive operations.

Only the BIS has the intellectual resources to study and solve international banking problems in a careful way.
Only the BIS output is being adopted in the worldโs banking centers.
The BIS has even been proposed as a world senior financial regulator.
Ripple previously held a seat on the BIS payments taskforce that works on cross-border systems.๐ธ
Mojaloop Foundation, whose core software runs on Rippleโs Interledger Protocol, sits on the latest BIS Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures list.
As the BIS shapes the future of banking with new systems, they are more likely to draw on technology it already knows.
