BitGo Holdings, a crypto custody company, became the first global cryptocurrency firm to secure a virtual asset services provider license in South Korea, giving it access to institutions in one of the world's most active crypto populations.
The company, which went public on the NYSE earlier this year at a $2 billion valuation, established a local entity, BitGo Korea, to add to existing regulated units in the U.S., Singapore, Germany, and Dubai. The Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KoFIU) approval covers virtual asset custody and transfer services for institutional and enterprise clients.
“Korean institutions are looking for infrastructure that combines institutional-grade security with local support and regulatory alignment,” — said Abel Seow, managing director at BitGo.

Meta’s experimental vibe-coding gaming app, Pocket, is now rolling out to everyone in the U.S. The app, which arrived quietly last month in the test market of Brazil, allows people to generate small, interactive games using AI prompts, which are published to a scrollable feed.
These interactive experiences and games (“gizmos”) respond to touch and the tilt of your phone, play sound effects, and can include clips of your favorite songs. They can also use photos from your camera roll or access your camera. The resulting games can then be shared on your profile, where others can save them, remix them into other creations, or simply repost them.

Trump signed a new National Security Presidential Memorandum to reinvigorate America’s leadership in space transportation and enable over 1,000 launches and reentries on American soil annually by 2030.
"In the 13 years since the last update to the Policy, U.S. launches have surged 10x: from 19 successful orbital launches in 2013 to 178 in 2025. This policy builds on that momentum to enable 1,000 launches and reentries on American soil by 2030," — Michael Kratsios, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, said.
The NSPM calls for:
This is how America leads.

The Stellar network now holds more tokenized non-US government debt than any other blockchain, a lead it has held since February. Here's what's behind the number, and why the fastest-growing corner of the RWA market keeps landing on the same network.
What Stellar leads is a specific race: sovereign debt issued outside the US, in currencies other than the dollar. We think that race matters more than its current size suggests. Most of the world's governments and businesses don't operate in dollars. The networks that serve them will define where tokenization goes next.
Institutions have noticed, and around the world the roster keeps deepening: U.S. Bank, Amundi, Société Générale, AllUnity, Kenanga in Malaysia, and SDF's work with Marketnode in Singapore, backed by SGX and Temasek. That geographic spread is hard to replicate and increasingly the moat.
Where this goes next
To the teams making this real, Etherfuse, Spiko, Circle, Franklin Templeton, WisdomTree, and every issuer bringing sovereign instruments to Stellar: this milestone is yours. The scoreboard just caught up to the work.

The crypto industry is piling more legal challenges on Illinois over its new law that imposes a 0.2% tax on businesses transacting or storing crypto for customers within its borders, with two more advocacy groups filing another lawsuit.
The Crypto Council for Innovation and the Blockchain Association sued the state on Friday, claiming the crypto tax violates the U.S. Constitution, Illinois Constitution and the Internet Tax Freedom Act. Its legal volley joins an earlier lawsuit filed last month by the Digital Chamber.
"This tax singles out digital assets for uniquely punitive treatment based on the underlying technology rather than the substance of the transaction itself," — said Ji Kim, who leads CCI. "A tax on digital asset activity with no equivalent tax for traditional assets unlawfully picks winners and losers through the tax code."

Crypto may be moving into a phase where real-world utility matters more than hype. As governments and financial institutions explore blockchain for payments, digital currencies, trade and tokenized assets, several networks are emerging as potential infrastructure for the next generation of finance.
Therefore, the common thread is becoming clearer by the day: payments, liquidity, settlement, interoperability, tokenization and digital infrastructure.
And their value will directly reflect the utility they bring to governments worldwide.

AI agents are emerging as a new class of customers, making autonomous payments for things like data, computing power and online tools.
“The primary product-market fit today is machine-to-machine payments from agents to APIs,” — Murr said. “Given the velocity of these AI agents and how quickly they move across the internet, we need a standard way for them to pay for things.”
“If we think about agents as the evolution of apps, we're in the ‘QR code scanner/flashlight app’ era. People are experimenting, and we know it's the future, but we're still figuring out the exact mechanics,” — Murr added.🚀

OpenAI is calling for California to add more safeguards to a landmark AI safety bill that was passed last year.
In a LinkedIn post from the company’s global affairs team, OpenAI said California’s SB 53 “should be amended to expand safeguards,” for example by “requiring monitoring of frontier models under training or evaluation for potential serious incidents,” and by “strengthening cybersecurity protections throughout the model-development lifecycle.”
“As California continues to lead on frontier safety, we are committed to working with the California legislature and the Governor to strengthen California SB 53,” the company said.
