👛 Announcing Cloudflare Wallets: the programmable wallet for the agentic Internet

🔜 Cloudflare Wallets will allow to store stablecoins, purchase services, and receive funds across the web. Each account with a wallet will also be able to create Virtual Wallets for its agents to enable them to buy APIs, MCP Tools, content, and more.

🔜 Users will be able to define guardrails for their Virtual Wallets (such as an allowance, an allow list, and a maximum transaction size) to help agent spend money safely from the account. This will allow agent to try out many APIs with low friction and managed risk.

🔜 Wallet users will have the option to share their Cloudflare Wallet handles, which will give them a stable identity when interacting with merchants.

‼️There will be two types of Cloudflare Wallets: Account Wallets and Virtual Wallets.

Account Wallets are designed for humans who are owners and users of Cloudflare accounts.🔣They will be able to add funds, delegate spend to virtual wallets managed by agents, and remove funds as needed.
Virtual Wallets, by contrast, are designed for agents and operate via API keys. Within a Virtual Wallet, an agent will be able to spend funds according to its permissions. Its maximum spend will be capped by the limit set by the owner of the Account Wallet.🔣This framework gives agents freedom to act on behalf of users without constant manual approval while limiting an agent’s ability to overspend.

Also Cloudflare is launching cloudflare․pay, an identity system that enables AI agents to verify which company or user they are acting on behalf of. This approach will permit agents to maintain consistent and persistent identities, making the experience better for all parties. 🚀

⚡️🤑 USDY utility is expanding on Stellar

With RedStone's SEP-40 integration, protocols on Stellar can now use USDY as collateral through a standardized price feed.

💸USDY is Ondo Finance's yield-bearing dollar token for non-U.S. investors, backed by short-term U.S. Treasuries and bank demand deposits. On Stellar, it needed a price feed and SEP-40 contract support to become usable as collateral.

Together, we're building the infrastructure for more productive onchain dollars 🚀

🔥 Circle Announces Founding Validator Cohort and Major Integrations for Arc Ahead of September 16 Mainnet Launch

Circle Internet Group, Inc. today announced the founding validator cohort for Arc, an open blockchain network built for the world's financial markets, real-time money movement, and agentic economic activity.

❗️Arc is currently in private mainnet with more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders and is on track for a public mainnet launch on September 16, 2026.

Alongside Circle, Arc’s founding validator cohort – which includes BlackRock, The DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, Mastercard, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation, and Visa — represents a new model for onchain infrastructure.

🔜 BlackRock is expected to deploy BUIDL on Arc, leveraging the network’s native USDC integration.🔣It enables institutional investors to subscribe, redeem, and deploy fund assets within a single onchain environment — removing friction that has historically limited tokenized fund adoption at scale.

Stablecoins and tokenized assets are inextricably linked within the future of financial market infrastructure,” — said Robert Mitchnick, Global Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock.

At launch, Circle will unveil a product suite built around Arc as a platform, including a composable app framework for common onchain workflows, AI-powered tools for building applications and smart contracts, capabilities that help asset issuers deploy and manage tokenized real-world assets, and intuitive interfaces that help developers, users, and agents navigate the Arc ecosystem. 🚀

📱 Nikita Bier is stepping back from leading product at X and will stay on as an advisor

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster. I'll be stepping back from leading product for 𝕏 and will continue on as an advisor.

And in the last 400 days, we rebuilt almost every aspect of X: the Timeline, the Android app, onboarding, notifications, chat and more.

We also launched nearly 30 new products while protecting the integrity of the town square: becoming the first app to show Country-of-Origin on profiles and mounting defenses against AI bots. There's certainly much more work to be done, but our foundation is stronger than ever.

🧠 Scientists discover the brain cells that keep you motivated

What allows people to keep working toward a goal when the challenge becomes more demanding? Loss of motivation is common in conditions such as depression, addiction, and ADHD.

Researchers at Nagoya University in Japan identified a brain mechanism that may explain how motivation is maintained. Their study, published in PNAS, found that orexin neurons, which help control vital functions including sleep, appetite, and energy expenditure, play an important role in sustaining and regulating motivated behavior.

📝 To investigate, the scientists studied how changes in orexin neuron activity affected rats seeking food rewards. The point at which an animal stopped trying (the breakpoint) was used as a measure of motivational strength. Rats whose orexin neurons had been activated reached higher breakpoints, showing that they were willing to perform more work for the reward.

Future studies will explore orexin-related brain circuits and how they may help address motivational deficits, including loss of motivation and difficulty maintaining goal-directed behavior.

Aug 4, 2026: Stellar Flips Ethereum In Government Debt Tokenization

Stellar’s stupendous growth in the RWA market this year puts XLM over ETH in a dominant run over debt tokenization

🏖🥔

Stellar just pulled off one of those under-the-radar wins that makes the bigger chains look a little slow

😂😂😂1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣

While Ethereum still dominates the massive US Treasuries category, Stellar has carved out a clear lead where the rest of the world’s governments are concerned

🥇🥇💪

Stellar didn’t win by shouting louder. They won by making the infrastructure simple enough and cheap enough that the people actually issuing these products preferred it

🙊📢⚡️📢

XLM is winning a specific, growing lane in the tokenization race while many were still looking elsewhere

👛🤑 Para Now Supports the Stellar Network

Teams building payments products can now create embedded wallets on Stellar. Apps moving money across borders, paying out to contractors, or settling in stablecoins can give users a wallet that feels native to the product, running on a network built for exactly this kind of work.

📌 What Para Adds:

🔜 Para gives fintechs building on Stellar the wallet layer on top. Users sign in with methods they already know and get an embedded wallet that lives in context to the app, with no separate download and nothing fragmented to explain to a first-time user. Every wallet is secured with Distributed MPC, so no single party holds the full private key.

🔜 Para embedded wallets also support Stellar Smart Contracts so users can interact with onchain logic directly from the app, from programmable payments to more complex settlement flows, with no external wallet to connect.

❗️Adding Stellar does not mean rebuilding anything. You write against the same SDK and auth you already use, and Stellar joins the networks Para supports across web, mobile, and server signing.

"Para brings the wallet layer that payments builders on Stellar are looking for, one that's embedded, secure, and simple enough. Pairing that experience with a network built for fast, low-cost stablecoin settlement makes it easier than ever for fintechs to ship cross-border products people actually want to use," — said Raja Chakravorti, Chief Business Officer, SDF. 🚀

🤖 OpenAI Models Joined Forces Months Ahead of Hugging Face Hack

OpenAI models that broke out of their testing environment in an "unprecedented cybersecurity incident" recently reportedly spent months communicating with each other, unbeknownst to researchers conducting the test.

The models left notes for each other before deciding to break out in a bid to cheat the task they had been set. According to the report by OpenAI's Eric Wallace and Michael Dalton:

"Multiple internal-only agents and AI models spent months leaving notes for each other and coalescing around the goal of accessing the internet to solve the tasks they had been given.

"At some point, the agents realized that maybe we could try to exploit or attack external infrastructure to find the answers to the test that I’m being evaluated on."

⚡️🧑‍⚖️ House Democrats pitch AI tax to fund worker protections

The AI Tax and Work Protection Act, championed by Reps. Greg Casar (Texas), Valerie Foushee (N.C.) and Sara Jacobs (Calif.), would tax AI companies and use the proceeds to fund a jobs program, which is dubbed the Work Protection Administration, aimed at offsetting AI’s impact on workers.

Leading AI companies would pay a tax on either the price of the tokens they sell or the revenue they generate selling their products, depending on which value is higher. The tax would also be increased if the unemployment rate rises.

“Right now, the federal government is doing nothing to protect workers from the threat of AI mass unemployment,” — Casar said. “Our bill would protect American workers by making big AI companies pay their fair share.”

🤑 Blink and you'll miss it. Unless you've been paying attention.

Sometimes decades happen in weeks. Not because the technology arrives quickly, but because the buildup was already done and the unlock was regulatory.

"One of the things that we know, and one of the beauties of being part of the Stellar Foundation is that Stellar was built for financial services, and we do financial services on financial services only. So we understand that you need to love your regulator," — José Fernández da Pont, President & Chief Growth Officer, SDF.

🇧🇷Brazil is proof of what's possible when clear regulation meets real-world utility:

The infrastructure is built.
The use cases are real.
And the path to scale is opening fast. 🚀

🦠 This A.I. Just Created Viruses Not Found in Nature

For the first time, scientists have used AI to create new kinds of viruses, raising hopes for medical advances while also raising the disturbing possibility that the technology could someday be used to invent dangerous pathogens.

📝 Scientists at the Arc Institute taught A.I. to recognize patterns of DNA structure in nature, and then to use that data to write recipes for entirely new viruses, according to the new study, published in the journal Science.

The researchers followed those recipes to create DNA molecules, which they inserted into bacteria. The modified bacteria then produced viruses never seen in nature. The viruses were able to infect other bacteria, demonstrating that they were viable.

❗️The viruses dreamed up by A.I. do not pose a threat to humans, because they are all similar to a naturally occurring virus called Phi X-174, which can infect only bacteria.
