Karnataka has announced a major push to strengthen AI education and innovation in the state. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said the government plans to introduce AI education from Class 6 and set up India's first government-led AI University in Bengaluru.

The government also plans to create a dedicated AI Hub to support research, innovation and collaboration between educational institutions, startups and industry.

They are publicly identifiable and maintain the highest standards of uptime, running this infrastructure not for financial return but to safeguard the safety and liveness of the entire network.

"Adding world-class institutions and community members like MoneyGram, Figure Markets and Range as validators makes Stellar an even better network for regulated finance to run on," said Jose Fernandez da Ponte, President & Chief Growth Officer at the SDF.

➡️ Expanding the set of Tier 1 organizations increases the network’s fault tolerance, meaning the network can continue operating seamlessly even if multiple organizations experience simultaneous outages.

➡️ Each new Tier 1 organization also broadens the diversity of industries, geographies, and infrastructures underpinning consensus.

The validators are expected to be fully integrated into the network’s quorum configuration by mid-August. 🚀

The launch marks a milestone for the Baltimore-based asset manager, which oversees $1.9 trillion in assets, as it expands its product lineup into digital assets. TKNZ is designed to hold a diversified basket of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ether, BNB, XRP, XLM, solana (SOL) and Hyperliquid (HYPE), among other digital assets.

The x402 protocol is a payments enabler for internet-based transacting, developed by cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and now stewarded by its eponymous foundation. The goal is to enable payments between AI agents, machines and users through the standard internet language Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), without requiring subscriptions or manual entry of credit card details and the like.

🔜 Denelle Dixon, CEO of Stellar Development Foundation, one of the premier members of the x402 Foundation, helped engineer open-source browsers during the first iteration of the internet. She witnessed firsthand when walled gardens were erected, and “five companies basically took over content on the web,” leading to the advertising-driven attention economy that exists today.
