Hyundai, the world’s third-largest carmaker by vehicle sales, moved a stablecoin-based, cross-border, internal remittance system into production readiness on the Avalanche blockchain, becoming the first major South Korean company to do so.
"Hyundai is the first major enterprise to publicly announce this type of implementation on Avalanche, but the initiative represents more than a technical experiment," said Justin Kim, head of APAC at Ava Labs, which develops and supports the blockchain platform.

Silicon chips have been the foundation of modern computing for decades. Now, researchers are giving them an entirely new role in biotechnology. In addition to processing information, these chips are increasingly being used to study living systems by recording activity from neurons, reading DNA, and now even creating DNA. Synthetic DNA is essential for many areas of modern science and medicine, including diagnostics, genome engineering, and cancer research.
In a new study published in Nature Electronics, a Harvard led research team unveiled a silicon chip capable of synthesizing 64 different DNA sequences at the same time. Instead of relying on the solvent intensive chemical process commonly used to manufacture synthetic DNA, the device uses a water based enzymatic approach. Carefully controlled electrical currents trigger DNA building reactions at specific locations across the chip.

A major housing bill called the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which includes a provision that bans the Federal Reserve from issuing a central bank digital currency, has become law.

The Z9GT, fitted with BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0 packs can go as far as 1,036km on a single charge. BYD said early this year that it offered the world’s longest mileage for a mass-produced pure electric car.
