A data breach at a Texas state government department allowed hackers to take the driver’s license information and passport numbers of more than 3 million people, according to the state’s attorney general. The incident is one of the largest data breaches to affect the state this year.
In a data breach notice on the Texas Parks & Wildlife website, the department said the state’s cybersecurity unit recently detected a security incident — that allowed hackers to access the department’s license system vendor, which handles the sale of hunting and fishing licenses. The breach also included email addresses, phone numbers, and residential addresses of the affected license holders, the department said.

"A lot of influencers have been talking about the DTCC implementing T +0 and having to utilize XRP on June 28, but on the DTCC website it specifically says they will be T plus one which means they will not implement XRP. Can you please clarify?" — the user asked on X.
Due to the clunky nature of the financial world and the misinformation spread by influencers, dates and technical concepts are constantly being mixed up.
As I mentioned before there is currently a liquidity problem and the infrastructure for this is being built. What the market is hyping up as switching to T+0 which DTCC will deploy on June 28, is actually just a "T+0 Trade Confirmation" infrastructure.
In other words, parties will send the "Yes, we confirm this trade" message to each other instantly at T+0 speed.🔣 However, the actual movement of money and assets (Settlement) is still carried out the next day according to T+1 rules.
The system is currently building the first phase, which is the messaging highway. Right after this highway is established, the actual exchange of trillions of dollars in tokenized assets and money within seconds, meaning real T+0 settlement, will become mandatory.
DTCC has permission from the SEC. This is the reason the DTCC can move forward with or without the Clarity Act. The SEC has specifically told them that "No Action" will be taken against them as they proceed to launch of their tokenization platform.

The devices we throw away every day, like old computers, hard drives, servers, and industrial electronics, may contain some of the world’s most valuable materials. Hidden inside them are rare earth elements, a group of metals essential for AI infrastructure, renewable energy systems, electric motors, advanced defense systems, and many more present and future technologies.
An Ohio-based rare earth recovery company, Paladin Envirotech, is trying to change this. By recovering rare earth elements from discarded electronics, the company hopes to keep critical materials within domestic supply chains rather than losing them to overseas markets.
“This expansion is about turning end-of-life equipment into a strategic resource that ensures all materials remain part of the domestic economy,” — Bill Vasquez, Chief Operating Officer at Paladin, said.

The reason is not because the technology stopped working but because huge bills are starting to arrive. Agents are far more useful than chatbots in many workflows but they also consume significantly more computing power.
Amazon, Walmart, Cisco, Uber and Meta are among the early corporate adopters now introducing usage caps, discouraging unnecessary AI use, or pushing employees toward cheaper models in an effort to bring AI spending under control, a report by Financial Times said.
The cost to run agents has increased because companies like Anthropic and OpenAI have shifted some of their services from flat monthly subscriptions to token-based billing. This is a pricing model that charges based on the actual units of data processed by the AI model.

Scientists at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research have recorded immune cells known as the body’s “housekeepers” actively attacking and consuming live melanoma cells. The study, was published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine. The discovery could reshape how researchers approach treatment for melanoma, one of Australia’s most common and deadliest cancers.
“This is the first time anyone has captured a macrophage attacking and engulfing a live cancer cell in real time,” says Dr. Yuki Keith, first author of the research.
“We always suspected macrophages were doing more than we gave them credit for – now we have the video footage to prove it. Studying this in a living system is crucial because it is more representative of what happens in real life, showing the complexity of the immune system and paving the way for the treatments of the future.”

June 21: XRP Faces Major Legal Test in Californian Court: Will Ripple Survive July 1st?
Ripple has 9 days to file a completed Digital Financial Assets Law application with California’s Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI)
July 1 is not a soft guidance date or a suggested compliance window, it is the enactment date for California’s crypto licensing regime under the Digital Financial Assets Law, and the safe harbor provision requires a completed application on file
without a filed application or an approved license, RLUSD cannot legally be:🔘 issued🔘 redeemed🔘 custodied for California residents after that date
California is the world’s fifth-largest economy. This is not a peripheral market
Firms that miss the deadline and continue serving California residents face cease-and-desist orders, civil penalties, and potential criminal exposure📌

While issuers can harvest yield from these T-bills, the BoE is strictly banning companies from paying interest or dividends directly to users for simply holding the stablecoin. However, the bank is explicitly permitting activity-based rewards, such as cash-back tokens or loyalty points linked directly to payment transactions via Web3 apps.
Under the new framework, everyday users and large businesses will no longer face restrictions on the amount, frequency or type of stablecoin transactions they can make.
The BOE noted that the new stablecoin issuer cap is designed to protect the broader U.K. credit system from sudden capital flight while allowing innovation, global competition and growth to take place.
