It extends the 402 Payment Required status code into a machine-readable payment negotiation layer for both humans and agents.
→ In push mode, a client pays onchain and hands the server a transaction hash to unlock a gated resource.
→ v0.7.0 tightens how the server verifies which key actually controls that payment.
The fix: push-mode clients now send a signedHash credential, signing http://challenge.id:{hash} with the paying key. This replaces the previous hash credential, which is rejected by default in v0.7.0.
Pull mode is not affected. Onchain settlement is unchanged.

The Chinese government quietly approved the Space Computing Industry Innovation Center in early June, which aims to bring together rocket and satellite manufacturers, semiconductor fabs, and AI tech companies to build a space computing network. According to the Beijing government, this aims to connect the entire industrial chain of space computing and boost the development of the satellite Internet of Things (IoT) sector.
The center is set to be officially launched later this month, and it will focus on six major research areas:
→ highly reliable, heat-resistant space-native computing chips;
→ high-performance hyper-interconnected space computing payloads;
→ space computing satellite platforms and standard systems;
→ space-based large models under constrained power conditions;
→ integrated space-ground cloud-based measurement and control networking;
→ and space computing power service-oriented and tokenized operations.

🚢 Norway clears funding for world’s largest ship tunnel through dangerous sea route
Norway is preparing to move ahead with the construction of the world’s first ship tunnel after securing funding in the revised national budget, and completing the evaluation of contractor bids for the project. The Norwegian Coastal Administration (Kystverket) announced that it is ready to sign a contract with the winning contractor for the Stad Ship Tunnel project. The government agency expects construction to begin in early 2027.
First mentioned in an article in the Nordre Bergenhus Amtstidende newspaper, in 1874, the Stad Ship Tunnel will be the world’s largest ship tunnel. It will allow large cargo vessels, ferries, and cruise ships to bypass the Stadhavet Sea (about 81% of today’s ship traffic will be able to use the tunnel). The waters are considered among the most hazardous along Norway’s coast, with rough weather, powerful currents, and high waves.

Midjourney built its name on AI-generated images. Now, the company outlined plans for a body-scanning system built around ultrasonic sensing and large-scale data capture. The idea is to generate detailed, three-dimensional images of the body in under a minute, with performance the company says could rival MRI scans but without the same discomfort.
At full scale, the company envisions a ring containing roughly half a million sensors, each about the size of a grain of sand. Together, they would generate a constant stream of ultrasonic signals, producing what Midjourney says could amount to terabytes of data every second.
"You want as much data as you can get about your health as quickly and as cheaply as possible. In other words, you want a technology optimized for getting as many megabytes per second per dollar of information about your body," — the company wrote.

France has mobilised €13 billion ($14.89 billion) in additional institutional investor funding under the third phase of its Tibi initiative to finance French and European technology companies.
The ministry said 50% of investments under the new phase would be directed towards deeptech companies. New participants include mutual insurer Carac, rail operator SNCF, Paris transport group RATP, defence groups Naval Group and MBDA, and satellite operator Eutelsat.
The government said the move was intended to support French IPOs and help small and mid-sized firms scale up while remaining anchored in France and Europe.

China is demonstrating a different approach to large-scale energy storage: a 148-meter gravity battery tower in Rudong, Jiangsu Province. Instead of relying on lithium-ion cells, the system stores excess electricity from a nearby wind farm by using it to lift and stack massive 35-ton blocks. When power is needed, the blocks are lowered, converting their gravitational potential energy back into electricity through generators.
Developed by Energy Vault, the tower shows how simple physics can be used to support renewable energy. The company calls it the world’s first commercial gravity battery. Built from concrete and recycled materials, the structure stores energy as height rather than chemicals, offering an alternative way to balance the grid and reduce dependence on battery minerals.

In the official demo video for Project mBridge, central bank participants maintain an “mCBDC wallet.”
Project mBridge needs liquidity pools to convert one country’s digital currency into another. Every new digital currency pair is a new corridor that needs funding.
“The second way to maintain the liquidity pool is by bringing the m-CBDC bridge on Ripple’s On Demand Liquidity Platform.”
This places XRP directly within the CBDC framework used by BRICS nations.

Allies of Keir Starmer expect him to set out a timetable for his departure as UK prime minister in the coming days, putting Britain on course for its seventh premier in a decade and paving the way for Andy Burnham to replace him. A statement from Starmer conceding power could come as soon as Monday.
Trump wrote about Starmer on Truth Social:
Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. He failed badly on two very important subjects - IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well!

A data breach at a Texas state government department allowed hackers to take the driver’s license information and passport numbers of more than 3 million people, according to the state’s attorney general. The incident is one of the largest data breaches to affect the state this year.
In a data breach notice on the Texas Parks & Wildlife website, the department said the state’s cybersecurity unit recently detected a security incident — that allowed hackers to access the department’s license system vendor, which handles the sale of hunting and fishing licenses. The breach also included email addresses, phone numbers, and residential addresses of the affected license holders, the department said.

"A lot of influencers have been talking about the DTCC implementing T +0 and having to utilize XRP on June 28, but on the DTCC website it specifically says they will be T plus one which means they will not implement XRP. Can you please clarify?" — the user asked on X.
Due to the clunky nature of the financial world and the misinformation spread by influencers, dates and technical concepts are constantly being mixed up.
As I mentioned before there is currently a liquidity problem and the infrastructure for this is being built. What the market is hyping up as switching to T+0 which DTCC will deploy on June 28, is actually just a "T+0 Trade Confirmation" infrastructure.
In other words, parties will send the "Yes, we confirm this trade" message to each other instantly at T+0 speed.🔣 However, the actual movement of money and assets (Settlement) is still carried out the next day according to T+1 rules.
The system is currently building the first phase, which is the messaging highway. Right after this highway is established, the actual exchange of trillions of dollars in tokenized assets and money within seconds, meaning real T+0 settlement, will become mandatory.
DTCC has permission from the SEC. This is the reason the DTCC can move forward with or without the Clarity Act. The SEC has specifically told them that "No Action" will be taken against them as they proceed to launch of their tokenization platform.
