Ripple today announced the expansion of its long-standing payments partnership with Bitso, Latin America's leading digital financial services company.
As part of the collaboration, Bitso’s regulated MXN-backed stablecoin, MXNB, will be issued on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and integrated into Ripple’s evolving Payments on Decentralized Exchange (DEX) infrastructure. Together with RLUSD, MXNB will support more efficient liquidity and settlement flows for enterprise cross-border payments across the U.S.–Mexico corridor.
“Ripple and Bitso have spent years building payment infrastructure that operates at real-world scale across Latin America,” — said Silvio Pegado, Ripple’s Managing Director of LATAM. “By bringing together RLUSD and MXNB on the XRPL Permissioned DEX, we're helping create regulated, onchain liquidity infrastructure purpose-built for enterprise cross-border payments. This is the next evolution of how value moves between dollars and pesos.”🤝
Ripple and Bitso have partnered for years to support payment infrastructure across key LATAM corridors, including MXN and COP payout flows. The expansion into XRPL and Payments on DEX marks the next phase of the relationship, bringing localized stablecoin settlement infrastructure to one of the world’s most important remittance and cross-border payment markets.

SK Hynix plans to triple wafer capacity by around 2034 to meet AI memory demand, Chairman Chey Tae-won said. The company is building four chip fabs in South Korea, with the first phase of one of them set to open next year.
“Since we're proceeding with the plan to expand as much as possible, our calculations show that our wafer capacity will double within five years,” — Chey said.
Earlier this month, Chairman Chey said that the company would double wafer capacity, due to the persistent shortage of memory chips that could continue through 2030. Alongside Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix dominates the global memory-chip market and has been a major beneficiary of the AI-driven data center boom.

The European Union and South Korea signed a digital trade agreement designed to make digital transactions easier and further cement economic ties between the partners at their first summit in three years. The digital agreement is designed to ease cross-border data flows, recognise electronic contracts and electronic signatures and sets rules on consumer protection.
It should also reduce costs for businesses, boosting services trade. The EU is South Korea's third-largest partner in goods trade, while Korea is the eighth-largest partner for the EU.

The innovative technology is designed to alter mosquito genetics in a way that prevents the development of malaria parasites within the insects. It operates through two primary mechanisms: the first reduces the population of malaria-carrying mosquitoes by affecting their reproductive capacity, while the second renders insects incapable of carrying or transmitting malaria parasites to humans.
Transmission Zero Project Director at the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI), Mr Dickson Lwetoijera, said Tanzania has already commenced preliminary trials of the technology in island environments to assess its effectiveness before considering wider deployment across the country.

The BlackRock and XRP story has been circling crypto forums for a while now, but on-chain researcher SMQKE has put something a bit more concrete on the table.
Wormhole’s dev team announced that Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin got added to the Native Token Transfers (NTT) standard,
“Remember, Wormhole facilitates direct interoperability for BlackRock and powers Securitize’s cross-chain capabilities which also utilizes RLUSD. Now, RLUSD is live on Wormhole. Another path of access for BlackRock to XRP. Documented,” — the analyst SMQKE stated.
This is also one of the reasons analysts keep returning to the BlackRock XRP connection: no formal announcement exists, yet the institutional plumbing keeps overlapping in ways that are now well-documented.
The BlackRock and XRP overlap here is really about infrastructure, the kind of compliant, enterprise-ready technical stack that Ripple built and that institutional operations now quietly build on top of.

Life Biosciences, a Boston-based longevity company, just started the first FDA-approved human clinical trial to turn back time on old cells. The trial is arguably the biggest tangible step yet for the longevity industry, which has historically failed to deliver on many of its life-extending promises.
Scientists injected their ER-100 drug into the eye of a patient suffering from glaucoma, attempting to rejuvenate cells in the optic nerve and restore sight. This trial is still in its beginning stages. Life Biosciences is hoping to use this technology, known as cellular reprogramming, on other organs like the liver (and maybe someday the brain).

The SEC has proposed eliminating core trade-through protections within Regulation NMS (National Market System), which could lift major barriers for tokenized U.S. stock trading in DeFi.
"This proposal is intended to simplify market structure and reduce costs for market participants while allowing competition, innovation, and other market forces to shape the continuing evolution of our equity markets," — said SEC Chairman Paul Atkins.
The SEC has opened a 60-day public comment period on the proposal, which also includes related definitions in Regulation NMS.

Wall Street giant Citigroup is launching tokenized shares of private companies, which would enable its institutional clients to trade shares of companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Ripple. This comes amid the SpaceX IPO buzz, with investors seeking exposure to the largest private companies before they go public.
This move comes amid a tokenization boom, with traditional financial (TradFi) giants moving to bring traditional assets on-chain. Notably, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is already working on a 24/7 trading platform for tokenized securities.
How This Venture Will Work
This marks the latest way to gain exposure to private companies ahead of any potential IPO.
