🇹🇷 Turkey, NATO Eye Pipeline Expansion to Bolster Fuel Security

Turkey is trying to connect underground fuel pipelines as part of a $28 billion infrastructure expansion by NATO to enhance the alliance’s fuel security. The project would tie a pipeline system near Corlu, in Thrace, with one in the south near Mersin and the Incirlik Air Base.

Doing so would increase the size of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s Cold War-era pipeline system. It would also bolster Turkey’s own energy infrastructure, adding that Ankara would cover the cost of any part of the project intended for civilian use.

June 2, 2026:

Rollup Interviewer:
I’m curious how the partnership with Stellar & DTCC separates itself from the broad partnership and DTCC & 50+ participants?

Denelle Dixon:
It’s all based on the technology. Stellar was built for this from 🔠🔠🔠1️⃣

A lot of the folks at 🔠🔠🔠🔠, especially in the Digital Assets Group, have been working with Stellar since I’ve been here — so since 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣〰️2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣📌

They’ve been doing a lot of work to help to build the protocol to the level that it needed to get to for these kinds of institutions to be able to build on it and have the clawback functionality, the freeze functionality… all of those necessary components from a compliance standpoint built in at the core

So you do NOT have to build a smart contract, and you do not have to do this if you don’t want to. You can, but you don’t have to because all of these things in addition to privacy are built in at the core layer

Our tech stack has been proven. We have been building from institutions since 🔠🔠🔠1️⃣

🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠 built the first money market fund on Stellar and started that in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣📌

They did that without coming to us; they did that by picking the tech stack for the value of the tech stack

So some of these folks that actually are at DTCC are the ones that helped us to get there: that’s the beauty of open public networks, by the way

https://x.com/therollupco/status/2061518237313982609/video/1?s=46

Here is another great public proof straight from Denelle that DTCC helped co-create Stellar’s protocol since 2018 for their own use and Franklin Templeton has also been using Stellar’s protocol since 2019 and also happens to be a Tier 1 Validator Node 🆒

Even though FT didn’t make formal announcements about their partnership with Stellar until 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ 🤣

And DTCC didn’t announce their partnership until August 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣🤣

NDAs expire much? 🥰

⚖️ U.S. House tax committee weighs crypto bills, including relief for small transactions

A set of seven crypto tax bills are being circulated in advance of a hearing of the U.S. House Ways and Means committee next week, with each of the legislative drafts tackling its own narrow aspect of digital assets tax treatment, including relaxing demands for taxes on small transactions and the assets gains in mining and staking.

❗️The committee that oversees tax issues is set to discuss the ideas on June 9.

The various proposals include:
→ eliminating tax demands on certain small ( or "de minimis") transactions,
stablecoin activity and network fees;
→ governing the taxation of assets acquired through crypto mining;
melding digital assets with existing tax treatment of securities;
→ applying so-called wash sale rules to crypto;
→ and cutting out an appraisal requirement in digital asset donations to charity.

Though the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act has been the top U.S. policy focus of the crypto industry, Washington lobbyists have routinely said that crypto tax policy was next in line.

⚡️🇺🇸 Trump Signals Interest in US Owning Stakes in Key AI Developers

President Donald Trump expressed interest in the US government holding equity stakes in leading AI developers, saying that he planned to discuss the idea of a partnership with AI companies’ executives as soon as next week.

“There are concepts where pieces could be given to the American public, where the American public essentially becomes a partner with the companies,” — Trump said Friday when asked about the idea by reporters aboard Air Force One. “There’s something very interesting about it, where it almost becomes a partnership with the American public, and we’ll look into that.”

🇺🇸 Seattle to pass one-year AI data center moratorium next week

Two city council committees just passed a data center moratorium in Seattle, making it the biggest jurisdiction in the U.S. to enforce a ban on these projects. But the moratorium and an accompanying resolution must still go through a full council vote on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

The city intends to spend the one-year hold on data center development to study its impact on the community surrounding it and what the local government should do to ensure that its constituents benefit from the project. This includes putting up pollution standards, determining energy connection requirements, setting contract terms, setting labor standards, and other regulations that will apply to data centers.

🚀 US firm claims space-ready battery can withstand extreme temperatures on Moon

Battery manufacturing firm Solidion Technology has unveiled a new platform that it claims could support future satellites, spacecraft, lunar infrastructure, and low-Earth orbit AI data centers by combining extreme-temperature performance with next-generation lithium metal battery technology.

The Dallas-based company said its Generation Extreme-Climate Battery (Gen-ECB) platform is designed to operate in some of the harshest environments encountered in space missions. According to Solidion, the technology uses graphene’s thermal conductivity and radiation resistance to help regulate battery temperatures and improve reliability. The battery system can function in temperatures ranging from -80°C to +60°C.

🤖 Circle CEO Built an AI Version of Himself

Jeremy Allaire, the C.E.O. of the stablecoin company Circle, trained an A.I. agent to think and write like him, feeding it his podcast interviews, his public writing and a corpus of internal communications. He called it the “Jeremy Allaire skill.” The bot helped him compose drafts.

“People can interact with the Jeremy Allaire skill on their own before they actually, you know, bring something to me,” — he told DealBook, adding, “It’s available to everyone in the company who wants to have a dialogue with me.”

Jeremy Allaire decided to let the bot talk to his more than 1,000 employees. Because while Allaire can’t meet with everyone, he realized that the A.I. version of him can.

🤑🤑 Why XRP, XLM, and HBAR Will Benefit from CLARITY Acts and Others

Hedera, XRP, and Stellar posted some of the strongest returns among 20 tracked index constituents last quarter. The three assets rallied 367%, 240%, and 237%, respectively.

⤴️ These numbers come from a document, which revealed that “Layer 1 coins from the previous cycle outperformed the rest in the previous quarter.”

That performance did not happen in a vacuum. These assets spent years under intense regulatory scrutiny, with authorities frequently labeling them as securities. That pressure tested their networks, their communities, and their staying power, and they endured it.

⚔️ XRP’s history with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is well documented. The years-long legal battle shaped how the market perceived the asset.

However, the assets still performed, and now the environment is shifting. 🔄

❗️The current U.S. administration has signaled a more favorable stance toward the crypto industry.

The document
pointed directly to this shift, noting that “with a more favourable regulatory environment expected under the new U.S. administration, these assets are likely to operate with less regulatory scrutiny.” 📄

➡️ The previous quarter demonstrated that these assets can generate significant returns. The regulatory environment that previously limited their growth is now easing.

These three assets faced more regulatory pressure than most of the market and survived it. Now they stand to benefit directly from the policy shift underway in the U.S. The evidence from last quarter’s performance supports that view. 🤪

💭 Trump administration, OpenAI discussing possible government stake in the AI startup

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and the White House are in ongoing talks about a possible government stake in the AI company. The discussions have been in progress for more than a year, as Altman first shared the idea with the Trump administration in 2025.

The talks continued this week as Altman met with a range of lawmakers and officials in Washington about regulation and the latest developments in AI. As part of the potential agreement, OpenAI could donate equity to the U.S. government to seed something like the “Public Wealth Fund”.

“The fund could invest in diversified, long-term assets and would enable citizens to participate in the “upside” of AI growth, possibly by receiving the fund’s returns directly,” — OpenAI said.
