It is critically important that the CFTCโs exclusive authority over Prediction Markets is maintained, and that they will thrive. Under my leadership, we are setting โrules of the roadโ that are the Gold Standard for the States.
Likewise, and even more importantly, where we are currently the Crypto (Bitcoin, etc.) Capital of the World, other Countries are trying diligently to replace us in that capacity, but we wonโt let that happen. It is a major Industry, and we must protect it.

The Trump administration is set to allow Volvo Car AB to continue operating in the US after a ban on connected vehicles and related technology from China takes effect. The administration and the automaker majority-owned by Chinaโs Zhejiang Geely Holding Group have reached an agreement to address national security concerns and spare the manufacturer from the ban aimed at Chinese carmakers.

A new draft amendment, โAMM Swappable Curves,โ would upgrade the XRP Ledgerโs automated market maker by adding three new curve types โ constant product, concentrated liquidity and StableSwap โ with a programmable Smart AMM to follow.

The U.S. Space Force awarded SpaceX a $2.29 billion contract to develop the Space Data Network Backbone, a satellite constellation for secure and high-speed global data transport in military operations. Hong Kong AI drug discovery firm Insilico Medicine Cayman TopCo is stepping up the quest to harness AI to extend human life. The company is working with a US partner to develop what they expect to be among the first AI foundation models dedicated to human longevity science.
The venture with closely held Human Life Foundation Models Inc. aims to build an AI system that can identify disease risks earlier and accelerate the discovery of therapies.

India is undertaking tests of some of its most sensitive public-facing financial and government application software to better understand their vulnerabilities to Anthropic PBCโs next-generation Mythos AI model.
Indian technology giants Infosys Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. are among companies carrying out the tests of their software for vulnerabilities in a secure environment to Mythos. Infosys in particular is looking to devise patches to its widely used Finacle banking software.

Hong Kong International Airport opened its second passenger terminal Wednesday, part of a $14.5 billion expansion to increase capacity to 100 million fliers a year and better compete against Singapore and Dubai for travelers and cargo. Passengers started arriving from around 5 a.m. local time for the first flight to depart the new terminal, a Hong Kong Airlines service bound for Shanghai.

DTCC and the Stellar Development Foundation have announced plans to enable the tokenization of DTC-custodied assets on the Stellar network โ a configurable, open-source blockchain used across securities, payment, and remittance applications.

NASA has unveiled a major update on its long-term plan to build a permanent human settlement on the Moon, following the successful Artemis II mission last month. The agency said the future lunar base could eventually stretch across hundreds of square miles near the Moonโs south pole.
NASA officials described the project as a critical step toward sustained lunar exploration and future missions to Mars. The agency also confirmed new partnerships with private companies, including Jeff Bezos-owned Blue Origin, as it prepares for a planned crewed Moon landing in 2027.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is on track to process around $85 billion in potential and certified refunds for invalidated tariffs through the agencyโs dedicated portal, the CBP said in a court filing on Tuesday.
As of May 22, about $20.6 billion in certified refunds with interest have been completed through Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries, or CAPE, which launched on April 20. The refunds have been transmitted to the Treasury Department for disbursement.

The Trump administration is removing some tariffs on imports from Taiwan to implement parts of a previously agreed trade deal with the US. The US will remove derivative aluminum, steel and copper duties from aircraft components imported from Taiwan, according to a notice posted in the Federal Register.
