Admin’s note: for a note, because I already sense the people who will talk about Kim’s Daughter after her travels alongside her father… No, I don’t believe she will become leader for two reasons.

1. It is the job of the party to elect the general secretary and people’s assembly to elect the president of the state affairs (what people call "Supreme Leader"), she must prove her value.

2. Usually the sons are appointed after more than decades of rule (Dear Leader Kim Jong Il in 1974, Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in 2009), not after only 10 years, when the person is very young.

If she proves her worth as commander, revolutionary and ideologist, maybe, for now, she is just a daughter her father wants to travel with.

Everyone has unforgettable school days and teachers.

On the New Year’s Day, tens of people visited Ju Ok Sun, a woman living in Taesong District, Pyongyang.

They all were her old pupils.

Although it has been 10-odd years since she, who had devoted all her life to the education of rising generations, became a pensioner, their respect for Ju has remained unchanged. So they visited her to present bouquets of fragrant flowers and extend heartfelt New Year greetings to her.

Their warm affection for Ju was reflected in the bouquets and greetings.
Among her old pupils are Party officials, university lecturers, officers of the Korean People’s Army as well as labour innovators and researchers.
As Ju devoted her all to pupils, on her 70th birthday her old pupils and even their parents and children called on her house.

Looking at them, Ju expressed her will to live her life as their eternal teacher, cherishing deep in mind the call "our teacher".

Scientists of the Ferrous Metal Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences have renovated the ferroalloy furnace at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex into an energy-saving one.

This innovative research success enhanced the grade of the ferroalloy while greatly cutting down on electricity consumption and increasing productivity.

As a result, a scientific and technological guarantee was secured for improving the quality of ferroalloy while lowering the norm of consumption per unit as much as possible.

The news about this significant research finding adds much to the vigorous struggle of the workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

It is of great importance to ensure the technical and economical indices of ferroalloy in the production of iron and steel.

The scientists of the Ferrous Metal Research Institute buckled down to the research work for the structural renovation of the ferroalloy furnace true to the Party’s intention of orienting research work to solving pressing sci-tech problems in actualities.

The members of the research team intensified cooperation with the field technicians in an effort to find out rational ways for improving the structures of the furnace at a low cost in a short period.

They mapped out a plan for renovation and secured a scientific guarantee for optimizing the arrangement of electrodes in the furnace through tens of rounds of simulation.

They also newly established a furnace operation method with which to improve the melting process indices.

Now that the ferroalloy furnace was renovated into an energy-saving one thanks to the earnest efforts of the scientists of the institute and workers of the complex, it has become possible to greatly enhance the grade and productivity of ferroalloy while minimizing electricity consumption.

A ceremony for starting information activities by loudspeaker vans took place on January 6.

Loudspeaker vans left for farms in Kangnam County in the vanguard of vehicles carrying urban manure.

While working together with farmers at relevant farms on the same day, Party information workers in the municipality conducted the political work to encourage the farmers to devote their pure conscience and sincere efforts to the struggle for realizing the Workers' Party of Korea's programme for the rural revolution in the new era.
