Modern houses have sprung up at Kujang and Muan farms in Tokchon City and the Sampha Farm in Sinyang County, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK.
The change of farm villages embodying the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of people-first architecture and its idea of rural construction in the new era is a precious fruition of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's devoted efforts for the people.
Ceremonies of moving into those new houses took place on the spots with the attendance of officials in the province, Tokchon City and Sinyang County and builders and agricultural workers.
Congratulatory addresses were made there and licenses for the use of new houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.
When the house-moving began, congratulatory performances and cheerful peasant dance were displayed, and officials visited the owners of new houses to share joy with them.

The Workers' Party of Korea made a resolute revolutionary decision of great regional development and is pushing ahead with its implementation in order to provide the regional people with affluent and civilized living conditions and environment.
Brilliant successes have been achieved in the implementation of the regional development policy since 2024 when the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" of the Party was enforced.
The 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK said this year's important success is that we achieved proud results in realizing the ideal and well-being of the people and demonstrated to the full the simultaneous development of our state by launching and completing the projects stipulated in more expanded and advanced regional development policy within this year.
In the wake of the successes achieved in 2024, 2025 witnessed the successful construction of the Kangdong County Hospital and Leisure Complex, Kusong City Hospital and Ragwon County Offshore Farm for the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" and that of regional-industry factories in a number of counties including Jangyon County.
It is the intention of the WPK to keep promoting the regional development with great successes suited to the regional characteristics so that the regional people can get substantial benefits.
The 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee, first of all, emphasized that the provinces, cities and counties should take part in the work for regional development with the attitude of masters.
For the successful implementation of the regional development policy, the WPK took detailed practical measures from the establishment of the work system necessary for dynamically carrying on the construction of regional-industry factories in cities and counties to the provision of fund, labour, cement and steel and transportation of the building materials.
Today when a definite guarantee for the economic development of regions has been provided, the role of regional officials responsible for the economic development of the regions and the improvement of the people's living are further enhanced than ever before.
All the officials in the regions have turned out to bring about regional rejuvenation with the attitude and viewpoint of masters responsible for the present and future of their regions.

As every region is different in natural and economic conditions and reality, there can't be a fixed way in its economic development.

Kangwon Province wonderfully built the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station with its own efforts, providing a great wealth for the economic development of the province and the improvement of the people's livelihood. South Phyongan Province built the Unsan Paper Mill as a model of the country.
Now, the provinces, cities and counties in this country are making the most of the physiographical and economic resources and economic potentials of their regions to develop the regional economy.
It is the intention of the WPK to build all the regional areas into ideal paradises for the people by achieving more great successes suited to the regional characteristics.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took part in the inauguration ceremony of the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm on October 10, 2022.
He he entered a greenhouse, he found a lot of green peppers growing there. It was a gratifying scene which could be witnessed only at the large-scale greenhouse farm.
Looking at the scene, Kim Jong Un beamed all over his face, saying it is really great.
As a matter of fact, he paid deep concern to pepper widely used by the Korean people for their diet from olden times. One day, he informed officials of a common knowledge of estimating the sharp taste of peppers.
This pepper was one of the pepper strains widely cultivated in South Hamgyong Province from long ago. This strain was widely used for the diet of the local people for its good flavor.
But its cultivation area began to be reduced gradually from the mid-1990s when the country had a hard time. Sokhu pepper became vague in the people's memories along with the lapse of time..

Admin’s note : an extremely strange news… Apparently, ROK puppet regime decided, after 70 years of anti-communist ban (you could be in jail if you look at a DPRK media) , to declare Rodong Sinmun, the official WKP CC newspaper, a "general informations media". Now South Koreans can freely read this newspaper and understand the point of view of Pyongyang after years of being stuck in imperialist propaganda.

First Entity of Modern Regional Hospitals
Recently, media of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea reported the news about the inaugurated Kangdong County Hospital with photos showing widespread excitement across the country.
The Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea held in late December 2024 decided to include the construction of advanced healthcare facility, leisure complex and grain storage facility in the regional development policy designed to build modern regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties every year. This brought great delight and excitement to all parts of the country probably because it would make it possible for the locals to enjoy the benefits of the modern medical services in their localities, not having to visit the central and provincial hospitals.
By the way their expectation began to be realized in some 280 days.
It would be easier said than done to build a modern hospital as it is a functional building that requires technical compatibility from the terminals of the infrastructure to medical equipment and appliances. But the DPRK finished the project in less than 10 months after its groundbreaking in February.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, energetically guided the project by visiting the construction site twice in the 280-odd days, save for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies. It is evident that the people’s safety and the promotion of their health are always at the forefront of his mind among all the state affairs to transform the regions and build a civilized and prosperous country.
In addition, the DPRK plans to build six modern medical facilities this year, including the Pyongyang General Hospital inaugurated in October as the parent body of the modernized public health, Kusong City Hospital, Ryonggang County Hospital and first-aid posts in the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
It is unbelievable to build so many medical facilities in a year, but there is something more surprising.
From next year the DPRK will start to build modern regional hospitals in 20 cities and counties every year without fail.
