Compared with the total growth of the economic sector in 2020, the previous year of the 8th Party Congress, the production of important indices largely went up in 2023 by raising the production of iron trioxide 3.5 times, pig iron 2.7 times, rolled steel 1.9 times, machine tools 5.1 times, cement 1.4 times and nitrogen fertilizer 1.3 times and the GDP grew up 1.4 times.

KCNA:Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance at Major Munitions Industry Enterprise
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un learned about the production of multiple rocket launchers to be equipped by major units of the Korean People's Army according to the decision of the Central Military Commission of the WPK.
He repeatedly praised the firm revolutionary attitude of the workers of the enterprise who are waging a labor struggle to attain the goal of producing the multiple rocket system set by the Party while increasing production every day in high spirits.
Stressing once again the importance of the weapon system being produced by the enterprise, he encouraged the workers in their production campaign.
He said that artillery would change the composition of the armed divisions and be part of the large-scale strategy of the Republic.
