KCNA:Belarusian President Places Wreath at Liberation Tower

Alexandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, on an official visit to DPRK, laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on March 25.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of DPRK, greeted Comrade Alexandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, at the Liberation Tower.

Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Yuri Shuleiko, deputy prime minister of the government of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ruzenkov, minister of Foreign Affairs, and other major entourage members.

Present there were Kim Song Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Choe Son Hui, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK.

The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up in front of the Liberation Tower.

The national anthems of the Republic of Belarus and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.

Kim and Alexandr both witnessed a minute of silence for fallen Soviet heroes.

KCNA: A ceremony took place at Kim Il Sung Square on March 25 to welcome Comrade Alexandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, who is paying an official visit to the DPRK at the invitation of Comrade Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.


Seen standing at the square were the poles with national flags of the DPRK and the Belarusian Republic, the guard of honor and the honorary cavalry of the Korean People's Army, and the Central Military Band of the Ministry of National Defence.

Kim Jong Un appeared at the venue for the ceremony of welcoming the Belarusian president.

Guided by Kim Jong Un, Alexandr Lukashenko reviewed the guard of honor of the KPA.

There was a march-past of the guard of honor of the KPA.

Alexandr Lukashenko expressed his heartfelt thanks to the DPRK government and people for their sincere hospitality.

We are now advancing towards the complete victory of socialism, and solving the rural question poses itself as a major task to be tackled in the period of transition when we should prepare for moving forward to a higher stage.

In view of class relations, socialist construction is a course through which the whole society is being assimilated to the working class, and in view of socio-economic relations, a course through which agriculture is being put on an industrial footing, the countryside transformed on an urban pattern and a single form of ownership established.

This shows that by solving the rural question once and for all, we can accomplish the tasks for the period of transition and proclaim the victory of socialism.
