KCNA:Sangwon Cement Complex Boosts Production
The Sangwon Cement Complex of the DPRK is producing cement 1.2 times more than its plan every day, according to Rodong Sinmun.
Its workers recorded production results beyond their capabilities even though they had to run only one production line due to equipment repairing on March 4 and 5.
They have normalized production at more than 120 percent on a daily average

VOK:Active efforts made to cope with disastrous abnormal climate
Active efforts are made to cope with the disastrous abnormal climate proactively.
The Ministry of Disaster Prevention is raising strict demand to map out detailed work system and action plans in case of contingency and make full preparations for promptly coping with the unexpected situations.
It is also taking rational structural measures for flood control and pushing ahead with the work for setting proper standards of storing up the means of rescue and relief goods.
In particular, it is directing efforts to building up the system capable of rapidly informing all regions of warnings of disasters by flood, typhoon, volcano and earthquake by making the disastrous abnormal climatic conditions a fait accompli and establishing double and treble warning information system through locating communication, mobile communication and broadcasting.
The State Hydro-Meteorological Administration is intensifying researches for establishing the integrated information system to ensure the scientific accuracy of forecast and make a correct analysis of the meteorological, hydrological and oceanic conditions by normalizing the automatic observation of spots of meteorological observation and marine observation places across the country.
It is also powerfully promoting the work to introduce a modern machine capable of observing the weather conditions automatically into major meteorological observation units.

Workers of the textile mills in all parts of the country are expanding successes in the cloth production.
Those at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill are making efforts to produce more cloths during the unit time by introducing advanced threading method and studying rational route between looms.
Workers at the Sinuiju Textile Mill are maximizing the operating rate of equipment by observing the demand of technical regulations and standard working method, registering high results every day.

The Day when People’s Korea Abolished taxes and cut prices
One spring day on the 21st of March 1974 some 52 years ago ,the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) passed the Law on the Abolition of Taxation which declared ;
“1. The tax system, a vestige of the old society, shall be abolished completely,
2. The Administration Council of the DPRK shall take measures to implement this law, and
3. The law shall be effective from April 1, 1974”
The agricultural tax in kind ,which was paid by farmers ,had already been abolished in the period 1964-1966 . It had been decided at the 4th Congress of the Workers Party in 1961 to abolish taxation . As the share of taxation in state revenue dwindled to only 2 per cent the abolition of taxation in the DPRK became the order of the day . President KIM IL SUNG said that
" To abolish the tax system is a revolution to free the working people from these vestiges and a great change to meet the centuries-old desire of the people.
The system of taxation which came into being with the emergence of the state, has been used in a class society for thousands of years as a means of preserving the ruling machine of the governing classes and plundering the working people."
Thus the DPRK ended taxes on the incomes of working people at one stroke . Nowadays in the UK taxes rise all the time , particularly council tax . My council tax has increased by 62 per cent over the last 10 years .
Not only did the DPRK abolish taxes , something truly remarkable in itself but it also cut prices at the same time time . The prices of some 21,800 kinds of manufactured goods were reduced by 30 per cent on average and 50 per cent at the maximum . This was truly amazing and phenomenal . Both the abolition of taxation and the reduction of prices gave the Korean people huge monetary benefits . The living standards of the Korean people improved greatly .
In Britain where prices are going up all the time and there is talk of higher energy food prices therefore the idea of reducing prices by up 50 per cent seems quite unthinkable but in People’s Korea with its Juche-based ,independent , socialist planned economy it became a reality ,not a distant dream .
With regard to the abolition of taxation President KIM IL SUNG said
“ The abolition of the tax system in our country is the brilliant victory of the great Juche idea as well as a demonstration of the incomparable advantages of our socialist system which is the embodiment of the Juche idea and the great capability of our socialist independent national economy.
Thanks to the immortal Juche idea and its brilliant victory, our people are being provided with a richer, independent and creative life in the socialist land of happiness, where there is no exploitation, oppression or taxation”
This sums up the great significance of the abolition of taxation in People’s Korea.
Indeed People’s Korea is a tax free socialist paradise !

VOK:Turf planted in yard with tombs of heroes of Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at Overseas Military Operations (Admin’s note:Ukraine war)
Staff members of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Ministry of National Defence planted turf in the yard with tombs of heroes of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations on the 20th according to the organizational work of the Party Central Committee.
The turf was planted by Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other secretaries of the Party Central Committee and commanding personnel of the Ministry of National Defense.
The participants completed laying out the green area in the yard with tombs of heroes.

The officials and employees of the Ryugyong Dental Hospital in the DPRK are significantly commemorating the anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's field guidance at the hospital.
On March 21, 2014, Kim Jong Un visited the hospital to acquaint himself with its medical service and indicated the tasks for its treatment and management and operation.

The hospital built a database of the e-library with more than 140 000 pieces of advanced scientific and technological data and video data and updated it with latest data to raise the technical knowledge and skills of medical workers. It also put informatization of its management on a high level by developing and introducing a new hospital information system.
It increased the number of medical workers with academic degrees by directing efforts to improving their qualifications.
And it has made sincere efforts to cure heroes, war veterans and disabled soldiers, and conducted field medical service.
