Kim Jong Un gave on-site guidance at the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations under construction on March 16.
Accompanying him were the members of the WPK Central Military Commission, senior officials of the Party Central Committee and generals of the Korean People's Army.
He was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the military units involved in the construction and officials of the designing and creation institutions.
The construction is now under way at 93 percent of the total project.
Pointing out some irrational elements of the interior of the memorial museum, he clarified the direction of correcting them and gave detailed instructions on ensuring the highest quality in the finishing project. He also highlighted the importance of the project and it should be inaugurated at the anniversary of Kursk liberation.

One day in July 2016, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans.
Looking at the palatial school, he said with great satisfaction that the school had been built wonderfully and whenever passing by its construction site, he had eagerly waited for the day when the orphans are heard reading and singing loudly.
Kim Jong Un had proposed building the Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans, guided its designs and solved all problems arising in its construction.
Looking round different places of the flawless school that day, he said it is wonderful and no other junior and senior middle schools in the country have such modern classrooms and laboratories as those of the Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans.
He added that the educational conditions and environment of the school are really wonderful and that his another wish to make orphans happiest in the world has been realized.

Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed in his important concluding speech at the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea that as we have lifted the ideas of "The people are god", single-hearted unity and self-reliance as the banner of struggle and advance during the years of the eighth term of the Party Central Committee, we should invariably be faithful to the three ideas during the years of its ninth term.
The ideas of "The people are god", single-hearted unity and self-reliance are the powerful driving force for accelerating the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism.
The ideal, goal and rate of advance of the DPRK are steadily changing and developing, but the above-said ideas peculiar to the Korean revolution are immutable and their inexhaustible strength is confidently pushing socialist construction of the DPRK to a bright future.
WPK's Fundamental Idea - "People are God"
"The people are god" is the fundamental idea of the WPK that holds the people in higher esteem with sincerity.
It reflects the constant demand of the WPK to firmly maintain the revolutionary climate of the Party with the whole Party's serving the people as the starting point of Party building and activities and the immutable principle.
We must turn everything desired by the people into brilliant entities and provide them with a new life and civilization in their lifetime, not in the distant future -- This is an invariable principle our Party has consistently maintained in its revolutionary leadership for the past five years.
The construction of 50 000 flats in the capital city, the regional development policy, the programme for the rural revolution, the socialist policy for the younger generation and the new childcare policy, all of which were set forth by the WPK, are based on the idea of "The people are god" of our Party which regards the people's intense desire as the starting point for formulating lines and policies and the realization of their dreams and ideals as the principle of its activities.
Our Party, which regards the idea as its noble political idea and creed, has taken practical measures to let the people substantially benefit from its people-oriented policies at the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and other major party meetings and made strenuous efforts to implement them.
The leadership of our Party with the high spirit of selfless, devoted service to the people is making a history of love in which it burdens itself with full responsibility to take care of them to the last. -0-

One day in July 2018, Kim Jong Un visited the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory, to acquaint himself with it.
That day, he asked officials of the factory about it compared with the provincial general foodstuff factories.
An official confidently replied that the factory is going to compete with foodstuff factories in the capital city. Kim Jong Un said that it's a good and due decision to compete with the foodstuff factories under the central authority, and continued:
It is most pleasing to hear that. There is no reason why the quality of products of the provincial-level foodstuff factories should be worse than that of products of the foodstuff factories under the central authority. The quality of foodstuffs to be put on the tables for the people should be the same whether they have been produced in the provinces or the capital city.
The instructions reflected his earnest request that the people should be provided with the best things in capital AND provinces.

statement about the 52n anniversary of the abolition of taxation in People's Korea.
52 years ago the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on the 21st of March 1974 passed the law on the Complete Abolition of Taxation thus the DPRK became the first state in the world without taxation , a truly remarkable feat. Since that day the people of the DPRK have been free from income tax and local taxation but at the same time have enjoyed free health care , free education and low cost housing . Today young and middle aged Korean people do not understand the meaning of the word "tax" !
After the liberation of Korea from Japan on August 15 1945) the predatory tax system of the Japanese imperialists was abolished and a popular and democratic tax system was established in the DPRK, thus putting an end to over 50 kinds of miscellaneous taxes and turning the taxation into a single one.
In 1955 the government of People's Korea again cut the income tax of the workers and office employees by 30 percent, sharply reduced the tax burden of the handicraft workers, entrepreneurs and merchants and decreased the agricultural tax in kind from 25 percent of the grain output to 20.1 percent on an average. From 1959 it reduced the agricultural tax in kind to 8.4 percent.
The agricultural tax in kind, which had been instituted right after the liberation, was eliminated in the period from 1964 to 1966 for good in accordance with "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question in Our Country" authored by President Kim Il Sung.
As a result there remained in the country only the income tax of the working people and the negligible local autonomy tax. The tax paid by the population amounted to two percent or less in the revenue of the state budget. Thus abolishing taxation became the order of the day . As the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung said
" To abolish the tax system is a revolution to free the working people from these vestiges and a great change to meet the centuries-old desire of the people.
The system of taxation which came into being with the emergence of the state, has been used in a class society for thousands of years as a means of preserving the ruling machine of the governing classes and plundering the working people."
Taxation for centuries had been a great burden for the working people with people cursing taxation . There is an old saying that in life there only only two certainties -death and taxes . In the capitalist countries today taxation is a very big problem . In recent years under austerity polices taxation has increased in several capitalist countries but at the same time public services have been cut . Many workers in the UK have to pay a big percentage of their pay in tax and national insurance , on top of that there is 20% VAT and council tax which rob people of their money . Even those who own their properties are hit by "service charges ".
Abolishing taxation in the DPRK was a master stroke which improved people's living standards . At the same time thanks to increasing socialist production in the DPRK public spending has increased many times over. This is a miracle .It is amazing that People's Korea has had 51 years without taxation.
The DPRK is a real paradise for the working people thanks to the Juche idea , the advanced socialist system and the people centred policies of great generalissimo's Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il which are today carried forward by dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un under the banner of self-reliance .The abolition of taxation in the DPRK is a great inspiration to the working people of Britain in their struggle against austerity , exploitation and oppression.
