Greeting the day, all the DPRK people are recollecting with humble reverence the immortal patriotic exploits and devoted efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who unfolded a grand plan for turning all mountains of the country into golden ones and has energetically led the campaign for carrying it into practice.
Kim Jong Un wisely led the work to increase forest resources, saying that forests are the most precious asset of the country, wealth to be handed down to posterity and an important means for protecting the land.

Under his wise leadership, the nationwide campaign involving masses has been dynamically conducted. Thus, more than one million hectares of forests have been newly created and over 11 000 units have won the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest since the forest restoration was started.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un recently attended the inauguration ceremony of the new street, which was successfully built in a good place of the Hwasong area as a crystallization of eternal respect and reverence for the war heroes. And he personally gave licenses for the use of the houses to their bereaved families, bestowing great honor on them, and took a benevolent measure to let all of them enjoy a happy life.

KCNA:Scientific Measures for Self-Sufficiency and Modernization in Chemical Industry Sector
The chemical industry sector of the DPRK is taking scientific measures to hasten its self-sufficiency and modernization in an effort to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the First Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the WPK.
Officials of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and relevant units are seeking ways to fulfill their responsibilities and duties in implementing the Party's decisions, including giving the fullest play to the existing capabilities to increase production and building up new structure.
They are intensifying the study and discussion in a focus on producing fertilizer, vinalon, paper and other chemical products as planned by ensuring the normal operation of major equipment, upgrading their performance and reinforcing them and securing sufficient fuel and raw materials.
They are also taking measures to scientifically confirm the economic and technical indices of newly-established production processes to prove their practical effectiveness and go ahead with the projects of weighty significance in putting them on a Juche basis.
They are putting together constructive opinions on substantially improving the working and living conditions of scientists, technicians and workers, saving energy, standardizing integrated control and production systems and putting the management on IT basis.
The chemical industry bases across the country are full of the enthusiasm to create unheard-of miracles and innovations in this year's drive to make a breakthrough in attaining the new long-term goals set forth by the Ninth Congress of the WPK.
