Kim Jong Hyang, a workteam head of the silk reeling workshop, has a precious memory of having met Kim Jong Un in her girlhood.
He visited the mill on June 20, 2016. He said he had come to see its workers and watched her reeling silk thread for a long while.
After asking an official, he lauded her, pressing her wet hand and over-fulfillment of quota.
True to her pledge, Kim Jong Hyang carried out her assignment under the national economic plan before others every year and was honored in banquets.

Admin’s Note: We don’t know why, but Pyongyang International Marathon, supposed to be held for President Kim Il Sung birthday, has been cancelled.
I personally believe it is mostly for security reasons, as the marathon would permit western influencers to come and make imperialist propaganda, in a context of global threats as we see in Iran.

VOK:Honour of a Woman Scientist
Jo Su Gyong working as the director of an institute of the Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering has an unusual honour.
She is a competent scientist who made a lot of machinery and equipment badly needed for the people's living in Korean style.
When she was making scientific researches to make an automatic sock packing machine, a monopoly of some developed countries, she had the honour of meeting the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the production site on July 2, 2012.(…)
He said that only when scientists go into reality, can they achieve successes in their researches and stressed the need to actively encourage such practice.
He visited the factory again on August 6, 2014 and saw different kinds of sock packing machines she had invented one after another. (…) He recognized her.
Leaving the factory, he wished her greater success in the future.
Merited Scientist, Doctor and Associate Professor Jo Su Gyong is devoting her all to scientific researches today, too.

KCNA:Destroyer Choe Hyon Conducts Test-Fire of Strategic Cruise Missiles
Amid the continued tests of operational efficiency of the Destroyer Choe Hyon of the Navy of the Korean People's Army, a strategic cruise missile test-fire was conducted again on March 10.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un observed the test-fire on TV.
The test-fire on the destroyer was aimed at evaluating the reliability of the national integrated control system of strategic weapons and the destroyer's detection and weapon systems and verifying the combat effectiveness of the integrated combat system in technical aspects, Kim Jong Un said.

"We express serious concern over and strongly denounce the acts of aggression by the U.S. and Israel that are destroying the regional peace and security foundations and escalating instability worldwide by mounting illegal military attack on Iran.
Any rhetorical threats and military action, which violate the political system and territorial integrity of the relevant country, interfere in its internal affairs and openly advocate the attempt to overthrow its social system, deserve worldwide criticism and rejection as they can never be tolerated.

A meeting of the young people took place at the Pyongyang Municipal Youth Park Open-Air Theatre on March 10. The participants vowed to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Present at the meeting were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the youth league, youth and students in Pyongyang and members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an address.
The speaker called upon all the young people to turn out in implementing the new five-year plan, bearing deep in mind the basic idea and spirit of the Party Congress on consolidating the successes of the struggle for pioneering the era of comprehensive development and continuing to lead them to a greater result.
