The tests of operational efficiency of the new-type destroyer, a new symbol of sea defence capability of our state, are going on smoothly as planned.
This is an appraisal, from another point of view, of the advantages of the design of the vessel.
Every year during the new five-year plan period we must build two surface warships of this class or of a higher class, and correctly implement the gigantic plan of increasing the fighting strength of surface warships.
Ensuring the concentrated and sustained character of the capability of the national defence economy is a major guarantee for the implementation of this plan.
We have sufficient potentials, i.e., powerful researchers group and shipbuilding industry.
Our Navy's forces for attacking from under and above water will grow rapidly.
The arming of the Navy with nuclear weapons is making satisfactory progress.
All these successes constitute a radical change in defending our maritime sovereignty, something that we have not achieved for half a century.
Our Navy will have a powerful offensive capability, which is, in effect, a capability for defending ourselves.
If any forces are apprehensive about our efforts to build up our defence capabilities, this means that they are precisely our enemy.
I will have a strongest navy built.
As I have stressed before, I am sure that the course of implementing the national defence development plan for the coming five years will be a course of transforming once again the structure of our armed forces; we will build reliable defence capability.
We will guarantee the defence of national sovereignty, not in spoken or written words, but through capability for real actions and through practice.

Ri Song Gum - One of DPRK's Ten Best Sportspersons for 2025
Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Ri Song Gum, a weightlifter of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, is one of the ten best players for 2025 in the DPRK.
In the women's 48 kg category of the 2025 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships, she lifted 91 kg in snatch, 122 kg in clean and jerk (new world record) and 213 kg in total (new world record) and thus bagged three gold medals.
Born in Nyongbyon County of North Phyongan Province, she trained weightlifting skills in the country's well-established reserve training system. She has made good achievements in international games after becoming a player of a professional sports organization since 2010.
She won gold medals at the 2014 Asian Junior and Juvenile Weightlifting Championship, the 29th Summer Universiad and the 18th Asian Games.
In particular, she obtained four gold medals in the 2024 IWF World Cup and the 2024 IWF World Championships.

Military-Civilian Meetings Held in DPRK
Military-civilian meetings took place in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and Rason Municipality on Wednesday to vow to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WKP.
Present there were officials of institutions and industrial establishments, working people, service personnel, youth and students.
Speakers said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the long-term plans and action programmes at 9th congress of WKP (…)
They stressed that a decisive guarantee of steadily advancing to attaining a far-reaching ideal despite challenges and trials lies in thoroughly meeting the five-point requirements of the times for comprehensive development, made by the Party Central Committee, under the uplifted banner of the three revolutions - ideological, technological and cultural -, the general line of the WPK.

There is the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory in the capital city of Pyongyang.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the remodeled factory on November 13, 2015.
When he dropped in at a workshop, an official of the factory told him that the equipment had been made by its efforts and technology in the main.
At this, Kim Jong Un said with great pleasure that the level of automation is so high and that he is pleased to hear that the employees call it the workshop where home production is ensured because all the production equipment had been made by the factory itself.
That day, he said he was most satisfied over the fact that the factory ensured home production of its equipment while modernizing it.
He is most pleased to see the creations produced by the people with their own efforts.

KCNA:First Democratic Reform Enforced in Liberated Korea (1/2)
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the promulgation of the Agrarian Reform Law.
The promulgation of the law was a great event that marked the first brilliant step in the history of rural construction in the country and a solemn declaration heralding the start of the epoch-making change in the countryside.
President Kim Il Sung set the agrarian reform as the first task in the enforcement of overall democratic reforms after the liberation of Korea in order to dispel forever the sorrow of the Korean peasants who suffered all sorts of exploitation and oppression as they had not owned land for a long time.
On the basis of the practical experience gained during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the President sat together with peasants to acquaint himself in detail with the actual conditions of the countryside and the demands of the peasants.
On March 5, 1946, he promulgated the Agrarian Reform Law.
