The emblem of the museum has been put above the glass awning of the entrance. The visitors will not be able to see it when they stand near the building, because it will be covered by the awning. It is necessary to change the position of the emblem.

The glass awning can be either fixed at the height of the door of the entrance or removed.

As a result, the glass awning was removed and the entrance built with rocks and overhanging plants to look like the natural one. And the letters reading Natural History Museum were moved there.

  Lots of working people and school youth and children are acquiring comprehensive knowledge of animals and plants at the Natural History Museum built under the loving care of Kim Jong Un.

Seminars on Exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il Held Abroad
Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Seminars on the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il took place in Nepal, Britain, Italy and Mexico from February 7 to 14 on the occasion of his 84th birth anniversary.

Speeches were made at the seminars attended by personages of political and social circles and masses in relevant countries.

The coordinator of the Organization of Communists of Italy and the chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea praised the undying ideo-theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il and his Songun leadership exploits, saying that his exploits for the Korean revolution and the cause of building a powerful socialist country will be handed down century after century.

The chairman of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and other speakers lauded Kim Jong Il as a prominent thinker-theoretician, saying that the Juche idea comprehensively systematized by him is still illuminating the road to be followed by the world progressives aspiring after independence and justice.

Congratulatory messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the seminars held in Nepal and Britain.

Meanwhile, a seminar on the exploits of Kim Jong Il was held by the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea in East European and Central Asian Regions on February 16, his birth anniversary. -0-

We condemn all nuclear tests because of the immense damage to the planet, to life on the planet. We oppose the proliferation of nuclear weapons and we are making an effort the world over to have those countries with nuclear weapons gradually disarm.

If the news is correct (that the test has occurred) Venezuela opposes it on principle and humanitarian policy.

Nuclear energy should be used for peaceful and humanitarian ends. Earth is already badly damaged by this consumer-driven development model, which has led to global warming, to the destruction of the planet.

I believe he now understands the necessity of DPRK nuclear program and military increases.

Admin’s note: is DPRK economic success due to Russia?

Since the incredible successes and victories in housing,industrialization and social services, capitalist medias have given up their strategy of proving DPRK is a country with only homeless and hungry children, now they try to paint DPRK as a dependent state on China and Russia.

I already proved that foreign trade with China amounts to half the foreign trade with China a decade ago (DPRK being less and less dependent on China, in particular following Covid crisis which was a smart way to close the door to Chinese capitalist spillover).

But now their job is to claim Russia was the one who saved Korea! Unfortunately for them, this doesn’t make any sense. According to Russian medias (TASS), the foreign aid increased in 2023 amounting to $34.4 million. This is good but literally less than 3% of trade with China.

The main reason DPRK has been doing leaps forward since some years is linked with mostly internal causes and mass-mobilizations.

The shortcomings and malpractices criticized at the Party Congress did not emerge suddenly overnight. They were repeated and accumulated over time, solidifying into misguided work methods that ultimately led to stagnation in various sectors of the economy.

For instance, during the period when the Party Congress was not held regularly, there was a time of trial known as the Arduous March and the Forced March. In the 1990s, the collapse of the world socialist market, the persistent attempts by hostile forces to isolate and stifle the country, and successive natural disasters dealt a heavy blow to the national economy.

Countless factories and enterprises ground to a halt, and the people continued to suffer from food shortages and difficult living conditions.

As the original socialist work system struggled to maintain order, various sectors and units fought their own battles to survive independently.

We also heard slogans calling for [local self-reliance and self-sufficiency.
However, looking back from today's standpoint, when our national power has grown and the country is pursuing normal development in all areas, these were merely transitional and temporary measures of the past.

If outdated management practices persist-such as each sector and unit trying to survive on its own while pursuing only narrow, immediate interests without regard for the national good—it will encourage disorder and departmentalism, gradually eroding the state's economic authority and control. Meanwhile, if the Cabinet fails to fulfill its role properly and unified guidance and strategic management of economic affairs are not carried out effectively, self-interested economic activities pursuing individual gain outside the state's control will never be eradicated.

To put an end to this vicious cycle, the Party Congress has been taken as a turning point to implement a major transformation, not merely partial improvements or reforms, but a fundamental overhaul of the overall work of the national economy.
