KCNA:Many Rural Dwelling Houses Built in DPRK

More than 113 000 dwelling houses have been built at 1 860-odd rural villages of over 500 farms across the country for the past four years since the programme for the rural revolution in the new era was advanced at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set it as the most important task in socialist rural construction to radically change the appearance and environment of the countryside at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee. And he unfolded a bright blueprint for rural construction at plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee after that.

The central headquarters for rural construction was organized, regional architectural design and construction forces were formed, and material and technical foundations of the building-materials industrial sector and city and county construction brigades were strengthened.

State measures for supplying materials needed for the rural housing construction were taken, aggregate production bases with large capacity and cement storehouses built in cities and counties, and a fleet formed to transport cement to mountainous counties with unfavorable natural and geographical conditions by using the waterway of Lake Suphung.

In 2022, the first year of rural housing construction, more than 25 600 modern dwelling houses were built across the country. Many rural villages across the country have undergone a dramatic change over the past four years, along with the annual ceremonies of moving into new houses in the socialist countryside.

Rural houses with various and fresh styles were designed to preserve the regional features.

Last year, more than 32 000 rural houses with different structures and shapes were built, adding to the peculiarities of the countryside.
Modern public and production buildings were newly built at the Tapsang Farm in Unsan County of North Phyongan Province, the Yokgudo Farm in Paechon County of South Hwanghae Province and other farms across the country, thus providing model entities symbolic of the socialist countryside's rapid development.

The proud reality of the changing countryside is a clear epitome of the overall development and future of the DPRK.

KCNA:Mineral Springs in DPRK

In the DPRK, there are many springs with high mineral contents and different tastes.

(…)

Most famous is Kangso mineral spring. The spring with sub-acidity contains calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, sulfate ions and other ingredients good for human body. It is internationally recognized as a pure/green/clean natural drink.

There is the modern Kangso Mineral Water Factory in Kangso District, Nampho Municipality. A mineral water bath house, a comprehensive mass medical care center, was built in the place to contribute to the health and treatment of the people.

One day in June 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Kangso Mineral Water Factory and said that there are many mineral or hot springs in all parts of our country, adding that we should make a positive contribution to promoting the people's health by using them well.

Thanks to the people-oriented policies of the WKP, sanatoriums and health resorts were built in the places where mineral springs gush out

KCNA:Innovations Made in Concentrated Iron Ore Production

Workers of the Musan Mining Complex in the DPRK are making innovations every day in the production of concentrated iron ore.

Its open branch mine has concentrated large-scale equipment on the places favorable for production. It has increased the quantity of earth-scraping and iron ore production by making innovations in mining methods and making use of efficient blasting methods.

The ore-conveying station is bringing about good results by increasing the number of large trucks in operation.

The overburden conveyor station has carried out its daily plan by meticulously checking and repairing large cone crushers and belt conveyors and ensuring the full-capacity operation of equipment while observing the technical regulations.

The repair and maintenance branch factory, the truck-repair branch factory and other units of the complex have produced various kinds of accessories by dint of their own sci-tech force to ensure the progress of the main production units.
Pyongyang Times:For protection and development of mother language

There are many countries and nations in the world and so are corresponding languages.

On February 21 1952 inhabitants of the then East Pakistan (Bangladesh at present) staged a demonstration in an effort to make the Bengali the country’s official language, in which five demonstrators were shot to death.

In November 1999, the UNESCO set February 21 as International Mother Language Day to mourn the inhabitants of the region who died in the struggle to regain the right to use their national language and help protect the languages of the world and step up the sustainable development of diverse cultures.

Nearly 30 years have passed since then, but many languages have gone extinct in the international community.

Voices are rising that many languages are not available in the media, publications and public places and that if such situation lasts, the rate of extinction of languages will be faster than that of animals and plants.
High-handed practices are also openly committed to obliterate national languages.

The present Japanese authorities, who are obsessed with national chauvinism, are resorting to all sorts of persecutions and despicable acts against Koreans in Japan, trampling upon their right to Korean language education though more than 80 years have passed since the collapse of militarism.

The threat to human civilization and the violent threat to the development of languages and cultures can never be tolerated.

In our country, efforts are directed to adding lustre to the superiority of Korean, its national language.

In the course of developing social linguistic life in a noble and cultured way, there has been established a social trait of using even a single word or sentence properly to most accurately and clearly express the era of overall national prosperity.

Books conducive to enriching the linguistic theory and improving the linguistic life, and the norms, reference books and dictionaries related to the usage of Korean, such as “Norms of Korean language” and “Norms of cultured Pyongyang dialect grammar”, have been published in large numbers.

The educational sector is giving the younger generations a deep understanding of the excellence of expressive Korean.

The Law of the DPRK on the Protection of Cultured Pyongyang Dialect was enacted to provide a legal guarantee for preserving and further developing the cultured Pyongyang dialect, the standard of Korean.
